So, there is a functioning and stable court in the Hague able to administer atrocity crimes accountability and without the need of a 'circus' like atmosphere.
The loud aggressive litigant pulls the case and pays indemnity costs to the other party, and enters into a compromise which leaves the other party far better off than before the case was brought.
Bullying and boasting, but based on blundering and bombast.

Under IHL, intentionally directing an attack against a cultural site is a war crime if the site is not a legitimate military objective.
Even then, all parties must take precautions & must take special care to avoid damaging cultural sites & minimize incidental damage to them.
The International Criminal Court is dropping an investigation into whether U.S. sanctions against Venezuela qualified as crimes against humanity.
Over 150 Universal Jurisdiction cases are on the books currently in France. How are they going? Who is making them happen? And why now?

Hi Nikki,
Hope you are well.
This talk sounds really interesting, and I was possibly going to recommend it to some of my final year ICL/J students. Is the time of the event South African Standard Time (UCT+2)?
To start the academic year @uctlaw.bsky.social A/Prof Holly Porter (University of Cambridge) will be speaking on "Rebel Sex: male combatants and desire in coercive circumstances”.
