Aping Farage & attacking migrants is doing *incalculable damage* to Labour’s ratings.
Anybody decent still in Labour who’s watching - how far will you let them go on this path to destroy you?
Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves & Yvette Cooper must go.
What are you waiting for?

Here's the full leaked recording of Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp admitting that it's now harder to return asylum seekers who previously claimed asylum in Europe to that first safe country.
And it's because of the botched Brexit deal that Boris Johnson claimed was a success.

We are not impressed either.
Immigrants “are ambitious, enthusiastic & hard-working. They want a better life, & a better life for their children, and they are willing to do backbreaking work in order to secure it. They show all the attributes which we praise in others but condemn if it's demonstrated by an immigrant.”
The perversity of Britain's migration rules
A Government department, which the NAO says needs 000s more staff, is deporting its own workforce for not meeting new salary thresholds (cos of low pay set by Govt!)

Former M&S Chairman Lord Rose,
"Here we are, 10 years on now from Brexit"
"The issues of immigration are caused by Brexit"
"The issues of our poor economic performance ate down to Brexit"
Why does Starmer's Labour Party seem determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
Because it hates the left more than it fears the far right.
As a result it won't do the "left" things so many of its potential supporters are crying out for.
Clueless opinion piece by Starmer in the Times today.
He thinks the public are angry with the Tories. And they are. They're furious. But they're raging at Labour too.
Labour lost 2/3 of their councillors on Thursday.
He's learned nothing.

Sir, With Reform's victory in the Runcorn & Helsby by-election, a process that threatens to result in autocracy has begun. History tells us that all autocracies begin with populist movements making undeliverable promises. When it is clear that the promises haven't materialised, blame is applied to everyone other than the populist. First the forces against populism are blamed, then the media and eventually the judiciary. We are seeing this in an accelerated form in the United States and will shortly be seeing it in the UK. The pattern never varies, from 1930s Germany to modern-day Russia. It starts with one voter wishing for a painless means to achieve the unachievable, instead of accepting that difficult decisions are painful. Voters who supported Reform will be the ones most likely to suffer. Dr WJ Cunliffe
Sir, Nigel Farage has attributed his party's success in Thursday's local and parliamentary elections to worsening illegal immigration. This from the man who repeatedly assured the electorate that Brexit would result in our being able to take back control of our borders. As always, Farage appears to have the answer to everything but the solution to nothing. James Burton Stewart Hook, Hants
Farage and Reform whip up people’s prejudices, then offer to get rid of what they hate.Their power feeds off ignorance and hatred. They make people angrier about the stuff they fear, then promise to fix it. Of course they won’t. But they know who to tell you to blame when they fail.

You hit the nail on the head! Hoist with their own petard!
You’re telling me that right wing voters that Labour was trying to appeal to voted for a right wing party anyway and left wing voters decided not to vote for Labour because they’re too right wing now? Who could have possibly predicted this.

There’s literally a post for every occasion.
McSweeney may be great at winning elections.
But he is •absolutely crap• at running a government.

Rachel Reeves had a choice...
But instead of taxing the super-rich, she decided to slash benefits – leaving 3.2 million families £1,700 worse off.
The damage that does to our nation’s social fabric, quality of life, physical health, mental health and opportunities… is immense.
Can't remember a statement by a Chancellor that has gone down as badly, as quickly, and with almost all parts of the political spectrum, as this one
Screenshot of Times article with headline: "Florida may loosen child labour laws to fill gap left by migrants" The article explains a law has been proposed in Florida to allow children as young as 14 to work overnight shifts in agriculture & constraction to make up for lost migrant labour. Yes really.
You truly could not make it up.
You could not.
Grim times ahead. They'll stay grim until Labour reverse stance on Brexit - that is the ONLY source of latent growth available to be tapped.
1) Erase bright red lines
2) Call out damage of Brexit, loudly
3) Begin negotiations to rejoin SM/CU
4) Lay groundwork for negotiations to rejoin the EU
My Unfiltered Initial Thoughts On Labour’s Cuts:
The patronising spectacle of people on over £91k per year (plus expenses) providing more cruel hoops for the vulnerable to jump through, was despicable.
Then to paint it all as some kind of moral crusade? Fuck off.

1/3 My government is trying to do two incompatible things simultaneously. On the one hand, it’s trying to fix our broken welfare system while saving money.

I don't want to hear the demonisation of the poor trying to survive.
I want to be told about the sins of the super rich who want another billion that they don't need and will never spend.
"I'm so upset and shocked to see this come from a Labour govt, is an idea that somehow people that are struggling, people that are on benefits, are all cheating. That's just not the case... there are so many better ideas to raise money"
Well said Faiza Shaheen.

The image is a screenshot of an X post. The top part features a comment from user @mattxiv , who expresses shock and criticism, stating, "this is actually fucking jaw-dropping, while trump cuts programs you need to live, he's turning the white house into a car dealership to advertise his unelected shadow president's failing company. dystopian levels of corruption." Below this, there is a quoted post from @TeslaOwnersSiliconValley, posted 5 hours earlier, with the text "BREAKING: @Tesla vehicles lined up at the White House for @realDonaldTrump to view." The attached image shows the White House in the background with several Tesla vehicles, including a silver Tesla Cybertruck, a red Tesla, and a blue Tesla, parked on the driveway in front of the building.
This is what we’ve become. In just a single decade.
Labour MP Nadia Whittome says to tax the rich instead of taking benefits away from the poor
Ought to be a no brainer for a Labour government but here we are 🤷♂️
Why is Musk pushing for elections and “regime change” in Ukraine… but not Russia?
Musk & Trump have no interest in democracy, America’s historical guarantees, rule of law, sovereignty or peace.
They’re siding with a murderous dictator to try and break Ukraine - and Europe.
1. What explains the paralysis that seems to have overcome us, as we watch the most powerful nation of Earth spiralling towards fascist dictatorship? Well, a large part of it, I feel, is the surreal, astonishing uselessness of the Democratic Party. 🧵
If you want to stop World War Three, think what would have stopped World War Two.
Occupation of the Ruhr. Anschluss with Austria. Annexation of Sudetenland. Hitler could have been stopped each time.
But fear of war led to war.
Don’t repeat the mistake.

Here I react to the shameful encounter between American leaders and media and the Ukrainian president. No doubt there were more, but I saw five failures on our side: of hospitality, decency, democracy, strategy, and independence. Please watch and share.
