Some of my football related #photography on display at the British Libray in London from 27th April. Great little exhibition extolling the many virtues of football fanzine culture.
Thornborough Henge rather than the village of Thornborough but yes, near Bedale.
Great day fieldwalking with the Thornborough Archaeology Group. It's very zen; trundling through a field looking for flint while the sun warms your back and the birds sing to one another. Even better when you find some, however small. Our ancestors were here. Walking in the sun, birds tweeting...
Lovely day for this sort of thing...

This morning's mist at the Devil's Arrows. It's good to see them again at their finest. Shrouded in fog alongside skeletal trees and empty furrows. All the potential of the good earth primed for spring.

If anyone fancies a copy of Home End (out of print for several years now), there's one in the shop at yorktonebooks.bigcartel.com along with the last few copies of All Gone Away and Final.
A sobering reminder of where York City FC used to be.

1/35 WW1 British tank crew assembled and ready for priming. Having not built a kit for years I've never used Tamiya extra thin cement before and it's excellent, a big improvement on the claggy old tubes of poly cement.
Good evening from the Devil's Arrows...

Some lighter browns and some rust tones on the exhaust. Really enjoying these acrylics.
Tempting.
That'll do for today. Never really used acrylics before. Like them a lot, very easy to move with the brush. Colour is excellent too.
Planes just don't do it for me sadly. Not enough mud - but just fucking start one will you! It's a great way of wasting time you didn't think you had
During lockdown I built a Tamiya 1/35 Mk IV tank. For years it's sat on a shelf primed but unpainted. Time to slowly give it some colour.
Old ways, new years.
