It feels like forever since I've had the drive to do much in the way of personal, non-work animation. I can't help but feel I might be getting a bit rusty in places.

Let's see how many more seconds I can add before I run out of steam...

Contrasting movements and follow-through are key to making it look natural. If the whole body is moving as one, it looks weird. If limbs move at different speeds or directions, clothes have secondary animation and so forth, it makes reuse far less jarring.

It's smart to re-use stuff where you can, especially in the rough stage. You can get away with a lot using mesh-warping and skewing and such, particularly with easing. If I wanted to polish the animation a bit I'd probably redraw over most of the reused parts.

Yeah, you just happened to ask right when I was online hehe.
Because it was pretty rough and I wasn't sure how far I'd take it at first, each character is just one layer (except Vox's cables).
If I were to start polishing/cleaning it up more I might layer different elements separately during that.
