You appearing on my feed is perfect timing - I'm starting to design a huge mining facility and was struggling to find good reference.

Some of the units on this are incredibly incorrect, but a lot of them are bang on the money? A lot of seniors and lead artists are outing themselves as unaware of the costs of AAA gaming by dunking on this - the average day cost of ONE developer on a $100,000+ salary is $430.

I found ROUTINE did a great job of this.
Literally all I hope for in life is to run something that's stable and reliable and not driven by growth yet every facet of everything is driven by some bullshit upwards line.
I believe community is important across all aspects of life. Which means I'm grateful for Epic for allowing me to host an Indie Dev night at our studio, where 8 up-and-coming titles got to show off their game to everyone. It was a huge success and I'm ever thankful for everyone who helped out!

As someone who likes making "realistic" graphics I think it's disingenuous to snub realistic graphics by default. They have their place, they can be done right and done well. The fact Alan Wake 2 wont best art direction is proof of that. It's all about intention, and DLSS5 has no intent.
If you rigged it correctly, hopefully forward.
Another great day to wake up and yell that the industry's 30% cut on games is parasitic and rentseeking.
Some stills from my upcoming cinematic trailer for "What Lies Within The Ivory Tower"
I got to show off the early stages of Ivory Tower to a wonderful group of people today.
Going through some old images and found a few progress shots of the final area in Project Hailstorm. Collated them into a gif to show how far blockouts come, and how rough a concept can be, and how early an idea can be cemented.
Here's a shot from the Ivory Tower cinematic :)
The way this is literally a problem with everything. Cute coffe shop? Bam, £16,000 m/o ground rent. An independent pub? £36,000 a month. A small family run business? £8000 rent. The list goes on, nothing is affordable because of these parasites sitting behind rent.

Today it's been 1 year since I released Project: Hailstorm! Incredibly happy with how much has happened since then, looking forward to everything that comes next :)

My personal take on the state of modern tech: We no longer have Sci+Fi art that strives for the optimism and potential greatness of the future.
Meeting room vibes
Didn't know you lot made games, looks rad!
More work on the initial art pass for Ivory Tower. This area is coming together nicely, thinking of expanding outwards into the office spaces now.
Oh woah I didn't realise this was all part of the same piece, very cool
