I think he’d really fit in with Thelin’s style of play. Before moving to Grasshoppers he was mainly used as a defensive midfielder which is a good sign for a player comfortable enough on the ball but it also means he may give some cover as a screening midfielder like Nilsen.

He’s also the 2nd best centre half in Interceptions per 90. He’s above average in terms of pass completions but I wouldn’t say passing is his strongest point. He looks to be a really strong defender, brave in his defending but not an aggressive defender.

Celtic 0-1 - actually thought it was one of our best performances against Celtic that I’ve ever seen. I think first half was an even game, not really much chances created, second half Celtic maybe edged it but we had huge opportunities at the end to take a point away at the end so some positives.

Hearts 1-1 - Tynecastle is a hard place to go to and try get a result, I thought overall it was an even game, and going by where both clubs were last season, I’d take a draw at Tynecastle.

Hibernian 3-3 - look at it at the perspective of we weren’t the team trying to gain the point, we led twice in stoppage time, just couldn’t grind out the result and stay resolute like earlier in the season. We didn’t get outplayed.

St Mirren 1-2 - the only real disappointment, it is a hard away fixture though, but the players are going to have an off day sometime. We don’t have a squad like Celtic where we can bring on a £8.5m striker if our striker isn’t on form in the match.

A lot of people are a bit worried about our last 4 games but I think you need to take a step back and look at it all.

We have a goalscorer in Nisbet but what we need is a striker who is good at all round play imo

I don’t know if anyone from Elfsborg will leave Europa League football to come here but Thelin could be a good pull. I think former players would be good to look at, just like Nilsen and I done a scout report on Christopher McVey that if you haven’t seen already, you should check out!

Don’t think he impressed Thelin when he was at Elfsborg in either of his spells, didn’t really have a good sustained run in the team. Since Thelin has left though, he has been an ever present. Also interesting to see he’s been benched for each Europa League matches apart from the 1-0 win over Roma.

Obviously with players contracts that are up in 2026, that’s got to be looked at as players to possibly sell.

But I think players stock can only go higher with playing European football next season, especially if Thelin can perform well in European competitions.

I would think he would, he’s not going to get a bigger exposure than playing in the top flight of Scotland + European Football, and playing for a manager who looks to get the best out of players too.

Ruby I see more of a commanding aerial centre half, think Jackson would be a different kind of centre half and he’s still very young. Of course I do think Ruby will go higher at some point in the future but I don’t think the very near future.
