Yeah, this is the thing I hate about concept art. As far as I've seen, fairly common practice, especially in internal concepts (people do tend to clean up "sus" things for art books), to just copy, trace or photobash literally anything off google, and leads even pressure you into it to save time.

Thank you! I struggled with the horns a lot, and then it somehow just clicked together. Animal parts of this are certainly the one thing I thoroughly enjoyed painting. (I'm still tempted to paint over the rider completely, but Paul would probably be contractually obligated to haunt me after.)

I think what happened was that they tried to define "non-feral" as "straight-legged" and never got the memo that all mammals have the same leg structure. (A surprising amount of people confuse the ankles for knees and wrists for elbows in quadrupeds.)

Either way, the rules are dumb as hell.

Their legal team sucking at anatomy is their problem. It said knees, it's knees. 😹

Guys, I'm afraid I must come clean to you all. I'm guilty. I'm currently working on some incredibly not safe for work, extremely lewd knees. I should definitely be put under 24 hour watch.

BUT I did specifically ask my Community Managers if this was okay to share publicly, or of I should keep it private, as I'm required to keep my socials "clean". I was a bit surprised that both my European AND my American CM went: "Oh yeah, this is fine. Btw really pretty, I'll share it." 😶

It's not that complicated. It's not like ANet came to me and said "draw naked charr, we'll pay you for it". I'm a member of the Partner Program, and every GW2-related work I do is by default sponsored by ANet, which I have to disclose under such work as per FTC and international rules.
