A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief. The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."
The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.
As unlikely as it would be, I'm really hoping for a Flyers/Mammoth cup.

Dare I say... tomato gravy? Philly/Jersey people? Anyone?

Zohran’s sewer socialism is showing that government can work for working people — and that we shouldn’t settle for less.
Why is this even a story? Bicycles go faster than humans. If I throw a baseball it’ll go faster than a human too. “Thing human made goes faster than human” is a pretty normal occurrence.

It infuriates me how the right wing fundamentally misunderstand The Punisher. Comic continuity is messy (at best!) but The Punisher explores trauma and the appeal/dehumanizing cost of rage. Using him uncritically as a straight-up role model is just glorifying violence by dumb-asses that can’t read.
Not really a hot take but the Pope is in fact a political leader and has every right to take a political position and speak about global events.
What’s refreshing is that the Vatican position isn’t motivated whatsoever by controlling or profiting from oil.
framing it as inconvenience is incorrect, we are longing for permanence

One thing I think is implied here is that it comes from a genuine place. Being friendly, supportive, and invested in other people’s success (even in small ways) is meaningful! It defines you. Editors and other creators can tell if you’re just networking or being a try-hard. That defines you too.
For gods sake just say “mamba” like a normal human.

It’s profoundly ignorant to suggest that the Pope should be fighting crime on behalf of the Catholic Church. Anyone who was remotely familiar with Roman Catholicism would know that that’s what Daredevil is for
I am convinced people do not know the plot of the movie black panther.
Hell yeah.
