This time, the update check found the new version, downloaded same, and offering installation. Here goes!
Logi Options finally gets the update in-app that appeared in the company's release notes a week ago. Go figure! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
Imagine my surprise when I determine that MS hasn't yet released CA-2023 compliant EFI boot files. Yours, too? #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/checkin...
Whoa! Hadn 't been at the upstairs PCs all week. The power glitches hit during Patch Tuesday updates. Took the ASRock-based RyzenOfc 5 reboots, and the Dell D7080 mini-PC 4 reboots, but both made it thru OK. Interesting... #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
A trip into DevMgr shows TONS of ghosted devices. So I put Uwe Sieber's killer Device Cleanup Tool to work. Massive cleanup ensues... $WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/flo6-ge...
The release page documents a new release today, but neither the check for update nor download page will get me to that version.
How interesting. Just read on ElevenForum that a new Logi Options+ version is out, but I can't find the download. Copilot says it sometimes takes a while to appear. Sigh.#Windows11 #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
IPv6 hits parity with IPv4, says Tom's Hardware. 'Bout time! It's been out and in use since the late 1990s. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.tomshardware.com/networking/i...

The output from "winget show vscode" includes an icon. It's MORE than just list...--details now. This one shows the VScode icon!
Why do I find #WinGet icons thrilling. Elefino. Here's another one from the Show sub-command. Good stuff! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
The new limit on pausing updates in Windows 11 is 5214 weeks (100.27 years). Long enough!
Just read over on ElevenForum that some #Windows11 editions can now pause updates for 100 years. Long enough! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.elevenforum.com/t/here-we-go...
As I run update scans on my "new" MSI MAG Tomahawk B550 mobo, I see a "new" UEFI update (released 2020!). I check new features, think it over, and decide to skip it. Let me explain... #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/ponderi...
Acrobat got to 95% inside its own installer, then closed. Immediately after, WinGet reports success. Post-run checks confirm update worked.
OMG: #WinGet just updated Acrobat successfully. First. Time. EVER!!! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
Just saw my first #WinGet icon in a winget upgrade ... output stream. You can see it, too, as WinGet icons continue to prolliferate. Good stuff! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/winget-...
Various get help cmd line inputs produce mysterious or incoherent output. WAAAAAAY different from SaRA. Lots to learn here.
Messing around with the Cmd Prompt version of GetHelp. It's way clunkier than SaRA used to be. This one's got a learning curve! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
Two little checkboxes lift my external NVMe from USB 2.0 to respectable write speeds on Thunderbolt 5. Let me explain... #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/two-che...
Good changes are coming to the #WindowsInsiders program. I, for one, am pretty jazzed to read about multiple planned alterations. #MVPbuzz Check it out at: blogs.windows.com/windows-insi...

OK, then: here's a short, sweet "How-to" to show & tell how to light up Winget icons in WinTerm. Enjoy! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/how-to-...
Microsoft Account (MSA) login pane can get stuck in a "used" browser session.
MS isn't kidding when they recommend opening a new browser instance when changing MSAs to access account info. I found myself in a "login loop" until I did that just now -- even though I was already signed in. Sigh. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
I'm still cleaning up after my own, personal "Great MSA Massacre of 2026." Let me add that no blood was shed in this process! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/great-m...
Some of our #WinGet icons are missing in WinTerm. Good news: many/most are from MS, and easy to fix. Bad news: this will take some work. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/some-ha...
Finally! A short&accurate list of what's here right now. 8 of 10, anyway...
Hey! My Windows devices list for my primary MSA finally has some relation to what's on-prem here. Tookl a while, but good-oh. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
Forgot to plump this yesterday, but winget export/import brought 35-plus apps to X12Hybrid with minimal muss and fuss. Read all about it. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/winget-...
Can't believe it! FINALLY got winget icons working in WinTerm. Many a strange winkle along that road. Deets follow. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/icons-m...
Initial text snippet shows package info for 7zip and CPUID. Goes on for 37 more apps...
Just used winget export/import to move 39 apps from Flo6 to X12. Worked like a champ! Blog post tomorrow. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
I blew up the ThinkPad X12 Detachable Tablet this weekend. Instead of a repair, I decided to opt for a clean install. Interesting things happened; deets follow. #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/x12-tab...
Tail end of Garlin's Check_UEFI-CA2023 script after all current updates and revocations get applied. Cheers!
OK, then I'm currently in Nerdvana. I've achieved Secure Boot success. Here's what that looks like: #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
I just learned -- and confirmed -- that the Windows Security app now flags Secure Boot status on all #Windows11 PCs. I can't understand why it shows 2 diff "status=OK" messages. Anybody got clue? #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/windows...
Under heading "Secure boot" you see text that reads "Secure Boot is on and all required certificate updates have been applied. No further certificate changes are needed." -- or whatever your actual status might be.
In Beta and Canary builds, you can already see the Secure Boot info that MS plans to roll out generally on Patch Tuesday next week. Here 'tis! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
Checking over my ThinkPad X12 Detachable Tablet, I observe a too-familiar BEX64 error. Time to roll the fingerprint reader driver back! Deets follow... #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz www.edtittel.com/blog/rolling...
About page shows that version v1.0.26.0 is out and running. Found 3 old drivers on Flo6, and removed all of them!
Driver Store Explorer (RAPR.exe) finally goes production: version 1.0.26.0 is out! #WindowsInsiders #MVPbuzz
