The geekery is real. My quartet is NOT, however, deeply or even shallowly, involved in anything more competitive than "who drank the most wine at our last retreat." ๐

Ooh! Thank you! Now the question is do I read or wait...
What I read of yours and @totallydonna.kitrocha.com's , btw, was the Mercenary Librarians series. LOVED IT. So when people ask me where I got the inspiration for a (hopefully) funny romp through one of the US's biggest niche hobbies... I can say post-apoc librarians with guns. ๐
Well I haven't written anything in about six years, so let's see.... I did write about 800 words tonight, plus some notes...
A footpath sign, with angle brackets serving as arrows on each side of the words "foot path", so the end result looks like an XML or HTML tag.
Hoping there's another sign at the end labelled </FOOT PATH>
So. I have two main characters now. And a premise. And a document. Shh. Let's not scare it away.
I wonder, would anyone even read a romance set in the high-stakes world of competitive barbershop singing? ๐ Wait. That might be fun to write...
The downside (?) to reading as much as I have been is that I really miss writing. Having three failed books under my belt has left me wondering what I even want to say. Reading @kitrocha.com and following one of the authors showed me the power of using hyperfixations in a book.
Unfortunately, it's not too young. Mine started at about 43.
Y'all, I just flew through this series and it is SO GOOD. Great world building, plotty, romance-y, sexy, characters with some baggage, and hopeful at the same time. Hoping for more in the series!
I'm so sorry. I've followed how hard y'all have fought this, and this made me tear up. Know that an internet stranger is sending warm thoughts today.
A photo of Kieron I took as part of some reference for WicDiv years ago, in a park in London, by a bench on some grass. Over the horizon, I added the words IF TRUE so that they appear enormous across the London skyline. This was funny to me when I first made it, and it's still funny to me now, so you're seeing it again.
Huge if true

These two goofuses make every day better. Even if Harry says little brothers who use him as a pillow are the worst. Quinn loves his big brother. ๐ฅฐ
Life is definitely less festive when she's not around!
I went through radiation treatment for cancer during the lockdown, so ironically I left the house more often than I normally would. Being immunocompromised during that period was terrifying though.

Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so Iโm gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.

having a kid is like having your heart outside your body and it is impossibly vulnerable and impossibly precious and also sometimes it insists that you call it The Conductor and kicks you repeatedly while you're trying to convince it to sleep.
Legolas and Gimli meme 3 screenshots from Lord of the Rings 1 Gimli says "I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with [the pope] 2 Legolas replies "What about side by side with [a guy from Chicago that keeps pissing off the president] 3 Gimli says "Aye, I could do that"
I just finished the first one and OMG THE ENDING. Grabbing #2 right now.
The only time I have, it was CLEARLY a me problem. ๐
I adore that site. It's my go-to any time I want to bake something that isn't bread.
I haven't had a chance to watch that yet, but poor Jin! ๐
If you see this, post something you saved because it's funny.
