Hard to put into words how excited I am to hit this stage—this one’s been a long time coming. Here’s a sneak peek at the opening page of The Tommy Gun Dolls Volume 2.

Ooh nice! I’ll take a look. 👍🏻
I would if I could get the pix to load! 😂
Difficult to feel creative when you’re a cog in the widget factory at someone else’s mercy. I did that retail hell for 25 years and hopefully you can escape soon.
This past weekend was movie magic thanks to our film pals at Ambler Theater!
The annual 35mm Film Festival was a blast and this is just a sprinkle of some of the highlights!

My MEMOREX-inspired header for @thenoircollective.bsky.social featuring Robert Mitchum as Jeff Bailey experiencing film noir is now live! 😎
Our inaugural watch party is next Wed 4/22 8pm ET #TheNoirCollective #FilmNoir
Oh yeah I’ve had that, never very often since clients are few and far between anymore.
That time I introduced @tcmtv.bsky.social’s Alicia Malone to Pope Tommy Udo.

This Wednesday at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, I'm hosting #TheNoirCollective watch party of THE TURNING POINT (1952), starring William Holden, Edmond O’Brien and Alexis Smith. It’s a dynamite film about organized crime, and the fragility of friendships and family. Join us. 😊

Today's a great day to support some creators.
Writers and artists and creatives of all sorts: reply with a link to one of your works, if you'd like. And feel free to tell us about it.
Everyone: let's check through the replies and buy some creations and support some human beings.
Lucy from Dracula, sketch for someone:
What I love about this (beside the obvious Captain Kirk and Col Austin) is that it's not some AI abomination slop, it really happened😂
Pretty hard to top Mitchum-Russell (lol pun intended) but boy howdy did he do it!😆
😂
Wow yep that's a lot. I used to have a copy of the Solow/Justman book and I've always been more interested in production knowledge than scuttlebutt so I've never read the tell-alls (save Shat's Memories) but it's hard to miss the GR innuendo so intertwined with bts of TOS.
Lol yeah. I skimmed through a copy of Susan Sackett's book many years ago on a return shelf at my B&N and got much TMI in that quick glance.
Yeah love that PlutoTV got them back again late 2025 after being gone a while. Nothing quite like playing 007 roulette and switching over blind!😎
Pretty much banging any tail he could find in his office (literally).
Many thanks to retromedia maven Jules Burt for the cool video review of MEN’S ADVENTURE QUARTERLY #14, our #BIGFOOT ISSUE, that he posted on on his always interesting YouTube channel. @cryptozooloren.bsky.social, @stephenrbissette.bsky.social, @keithroysdon.bsky.social, @madpulpbastard.bsky.social
SOL is one of the greatest albums of the 90s, certainly my favorite as a Jayhawks fan. Alt country needed a big dose of fusion rock to end the decade right & I defy anyone to find a fault with it. Youthful regrets, dying love, suicide prevention, music industry failure, living up to your parents 🤌🏻
Our monthly short film series 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 returns to Freddy's on Tuesday, April 28! Doors 8pm, Films at 9pm. 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 + suggested donations. Just celebrated 3 YEARS of supporting indie artists and hope to see you there.
Original ink painting by @elizabethyoo.bsky.social – can you guess who? 👀
We used to be a civilization.
The turning the canvas around videos are so irritating. Meta says jump and there’s a mass of artists that say how high? But everyone should be aware by now that if these tech companies want something, they don’t have your interest in mind.
I've always been a (intentional or not, and for better or worse) swimming upstream guy in my everyday life and having taken to doing more widescreen, landscape-mode canvas art it's pretty much a🖕🏻to online disposable content. As has pouring all I've got into print formats.
Yeah I ain't got time for all that!😅 I'm happy with a turnaround of 1-2 weeks for most easier pieces, doing a piece a day is impossible let alone madness.
It was okay, certainly not nearly as entertaining as His Kind Of Woman this weekend. Barbara Payton being bad was fun but it doesn't hold much interest beyond that.
More ham next week on #NoirAlley with Edmond O’Brien in 711 OCEAN DRIVE!
