Eye mites are pretty gross. Foot bacteria. The volunteers eating bacteria paper was pretty grim too. The fistula fondue story. The history of lobotomy. Mary Roach's excellent books are brimming with inspiration, I'd imagine. Mastication experts are mad. Let me know if you need links

Everyone talking about Adolescence, but why is nobody talking about how it was shot? Presuming it was seamed together in some new techy way or how the hell did they transition from handheld to drone to car rig? Insane. Let alone choreograph 160+ perfect single-take scenes? Jaw-dropping!
mr beast tweet reads: I have a pilot living in a $2,500,000 private jet and if he doesn’t leave for 100 days he keeps it, a cop/criminal in a jail and if they don’t leave for 100 days they win $500,000, and someone living in a gym until he loses 100 pounds for $500,000. Can’t wait to upload these 🥰
mr beast talking about the human lives he has trapped in simultaneous simulations with "cant wait to upload these" is why black mirror can never be as good as it used to be
My son now in 1st year playing basketball. Mark Twain, wasn't it: history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes.
Three things:
1. Israel doesn’t get to unilaterally ‘propose’ extensions of a ceasefire that it has repeatedly violated.
2. Netanyahu was already indicted for starvation. Here’s more of the clear starvation policy.
3. It’s the beginning of Ramadan, the cruelty is just so brazen and shameful.
A long and depressing history led to this headline.
Sick. What should be a headline in itself, now buried in a pile of chaos: Netanyahu is cutting off goods, supplies & aid to Gaza in a move approved by Trump: "An Israeli official said the decision to suspend aid was made in coordination with the Trump administration"

@miseanja.bsky.social Look what I found!
Going through some old things. I tend to look back with a very critical eye at my younger self: I remember all the bad things I did, and none of the good ones. Found this today. I have no context or memory of it, but is nice to think I had my moments.
This, I think, falls into one of those super-rare brackets of "Things Trump said that neither he nor anybody else believed at the time". 😂
And now, I can't STAND the fact that the lid is stuck to the bottle. It gets in the WAY all the time and it's a real pain in the ass. What were they THINKING? SMH.
For years I kept asking myself why don't they just attach the lid to the milk bottle or toothpaste or whatever and that will be the problem solved we'll never have to look for a lid again. It's staring us right in the face...
And yes, you can pay by PO if you ABSOLUTELY MUST!

Drop it in the comments and I'll send you a link to the results. And, not to bang on about it, but if you are in research or education - we are hosting a webinar on how to leverage AI tools to get so much more done in half the time - Book here: www.getstartedai.com.
Very exciting stuff: Deep Research landed in the lowest-tier paid models of ChatGPT yesterday (which is fantastic timing, tbh 😆). I am currently assessing accuracy with some of my Irish colleagues in research. If you would like me to run a research question for you, ... 🧵
Thank you! We'll try to make it!
We are big fans too Tom! Have one of your pieces pride of place in our living room!
Anyone with experience of the new system doubly appreciated. AAARRGGHH!!
Thank you
Thanks Simon!
What surprises me is that this is so off brand for Trump. I would have expected something gross and tacky, but this is fragile, provocative, delicate - a really vulnerable piece of personal art to share. Makes you think.

SOMEBODY is using AI in your business right this moment. If you want help with all of this, DM me - At Get Started with AI - we can set up a call with you, co-develop an AI usage policy and then deliver training on that policy. (9/10)
You need: - An AI Usage Policy (yesterday)-Training for your staff on what these tools are, what they are permitted (and, more importantly not permitted) to do. And you need these EVEN if you don't think you have any AI systems. Because chances are, (8/10)
As we saw in the Deloitte survey yesterday: "Employees are using AI""Less than one in four users say their employer encourages GenAI use""Vast majority of companies do not have a GenAI policy"Sound like a storm brewing. (7/10)
Do you know for sure!? ⚠️ I have delivered talks and AI training to thousands of people now and at every event, I always ask - are you using these tools already and most say yes. (6/10)
but these things are important because AI has such potential to increase bias and discrimination at scale if not deployed correctly. So...⚠️ If you're a small or medium business - are your employees using ChatGPT or another AI tool to get through their tasks quickly? (5/10)
- Robust testing and validation before deployment.- Monitoring throughout the AI system’s lifecycle.Yes, after GDPR, this is a massive plate of bleurgh, (4/10)
