Thank you, Amelia! Fun to know it's finally out there in the wild :)

I can hardly believe it, but after something like three years of work, THE PUZZLING FATE OF MILLICENT GRAVES is finally here! I'm so excited to share it with readers at last ๐@littlebrownyr.bsky.social bookshop.org/p/books/the-...
Look what I found waiting on my doorstep! I've lost track of how many years this book was in the making. And now it finally exists in the real world!
If you've got a young reader that likes graphic novels & stories with lots of humor, magic, and unexpected twists, they're gonna love this one ๐๐งฉโจ
Sorry, didn't see this earlier--I usually mention that when I share this article. I think it's still relevant bc: a. It's an analysis of the shady history of election machine companies, & it's all the same people today; 2. Obama did fix *some* of the issues in the HAVA act, but many are still there.
Unfortunately, our election systems are not secure. It's been demonstrated by cybersecurity experts, computer scientists, even the Mueller report concluded that Russia breached our systems in 2016. Dems tried to pass bills to mitigate some of the flaws, but Repubs blocked www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...
There are so many sources that explore how insecure our elections are that it's hard to even know where to begin. This article is good for historical context: harpers.org/archive/2012... There have been some changes since then but the players in the election machine space are all the same.
People are going to tell you that exit polls matched the outcome. You may be interested to learn that exit polls are "adjusted" by the pollsters to match the outcomes. Raw exit polling data is hard to find. Thom Hartmann wrote about this here: hartmannreport.com/p/exit-polli...

Meet project "Good Old USA" the now unsealed DoJ file on the Russian influence in the US to sway opinion on the war in Ukraine.
Something Trump has bought into hook-line and sinker.
It was held under seal, because we got the literal playbook revealing their methods
Looking back, we should've been more suspicious of the way they'd say, "Save the children......for me!" and then snicker and high-five each other
Where are the "Save the Children" people? They'll be livid about this, right? Right?
The 50 all white states of America.
That's the goal.
Ok, I'm gonna try this weird old thing we used to do called "sharing good news": My magic-and-mischief-packed graphic novel The Puzzling Fate of Millicent Graves is available for pre-order from Barnes & Noble--AND it's 25% off thru 2/7! ๐ฎ๐๐ฅณ www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-puzzli... @barnesandnoble.com
Hooray, glad to connect with you again! ๐๐
Well THAT didn't take long
Thank you so much, Amelia! I had a lot of fun with this story :) Need to get it all posted here, but it's finished over on doramitchell.com/lamplight :)
I wish you had gotten a response on this. I've been finding conflicting information everywhere about turnout.
Post-election audits are woefully inadequate & do not do what this says. They cannot & do not "ensure every vote is accurately counted and no discrepancies are found."Claims were made the 2020 election was stolen; then claims were made that elections are impenetrably secure & audited. Both are untrue
1/x
This is seriously garbled.
1. No audit even attempts to ensure that every vote is accurately counted. The best audits, RLAs, only check whether the reported winner really won. ...
Please no. Just no.
How does this whole thing keep getting funnier?!
Wow, it's fun to report all your comments. Curious to see if Bluesky moderation is any good.
Lamplight, page 15. This page was fun to draw! For anyone curious about process, this is all done in pen and ink/inkwash, with some digital clean-up.

Aw, thank you, that's so nice! I love your comic! ๐
Lamplight, p14 โ๏ธ If you're just jumping in, the story so far: A woman begins receiving inexplicable letters that seem to be written by a 19th c. Arctic explorer. The letters document his exploration of a strange house he found on the tundra--a house that's becoming increasingly bizarre & menacing...
If you missed the beginning of my weird fiction/short horror comic Lamplight, I'm also working on posting the whole thing at doramitchell.com/lamplight
It's easier to read in that format, I think, so give it a look if you're intrigued by the story ๐ป
Lamplight, page 13...
So, one year after I started my "short" "quick" Inktober 2024 project, I finally finished it! Might as well finish posting it, huh? Inktober may be over, but it seems like we're living in a never-ending spooky season, so let's have a little Lovecraftian horror ๐
Here's Lamplight page 12...
Ahhhh!! Goats are the best! This is the third goat post I've come across in the 15 minutes I've been scrolling Bluesky. Xitter's algorithm NEVER understood my heart like this. โค๏ธ๐
Lamplight page 11, #inktober day 11
Sadly this is as far as I've gotten so far ๐ญ Stupid day job!! Don't people know I need to DRAW PICTURES ALL DAY ๐ก
