This one focuses on US state actions taken in 2024. Also chock-full of data.
Interesting that NJ is the 3rd most active state.
Texas (33), Michigan (20), Missouri (16), Mississippi (15), and New Jersey (15) were the top five states for the volume of China-related measures introduced in 2023, followed by Hawai‘i (13), Louisiana (12), New York (12), Florida (11), Oklahoma (11), and West Virginia (11).
Congratulations!!!
From 2005 to 2019, U.S. governors largely portrayed China favorably in their state of the state addresses. That changed markedly starting in 2022.
In 2023, 334 China-related measures (including 292 unique and 42 companion measures) were introduced in 50 U.S. state legislatures. Here's a closer look at what actions state governments were considering to respond to China issues.

Full of data & unreal quotes: “I can tell you the threat from China is real. They want to kill us. They want to take over America. They want to see Louisiana destroyed.” LA Sen Stewart Cathey(R)
