every pokemon game seems designed to be someone’s first pokemon game. This is not the case with Mario & Zelda.

both of those series do plenty of work to please older fans with new entries and have also grown in complexity over time. Pokemon is a series that seems to regard its adults fans as an afterthought.

why were Mario and Zelda allowed to grow up but Pokemon is somehow exempt from this?

‘splashing’ colors is a deeply awful concept and it’s telling that this archaic mess of a game is the only one that does it.
