Is that Holyday reading his child to sleep
You definitely need both!!

Oh!!! Um-
The problem is this post-Moses trend in treating the "community" as if it's monolithic and knows more about transportation planning than the experts. We as a society can say "more transit good, road expansion bad" and ask locals to weigh in on where staircases go, not "should this even happen?"
I also advocated for more accessible Preston transit cards when the role out was just at shoppers drugmarts!
Yea him bringing that up in the podcast was so strangeβ¦ like do you want a robust public housing system or notβ¦ or just the wishy washy Singapore βfree market economyβ musings

Yes!!! Itβs the little things that make life so much smoother.
Best recommendations of more niche transit/urbanism things to do in London? Iβm going tonight!
Either than the tube (strike lol) and the lizzy linr
Yea people tell that for me for lifelabs too but Iβm unorganized and go ad hoc when I can lol
Why does it feel like I always have 10 errands a day to run and not enough time???
(Secret, I procrastinate and accumulate to do them all in one day last minute, but feel anxious every day I wait)
I really wish they would have a live wait time then!! Would really help.
I guess Iβve always been unlucky
But also Iβm probably unique spending half my life at service Ontario constantly needing new IDs and Healthcards for whatever reason because I keep losing them or changing addresses or renewing them πππ
Can someone please run a platform on just delivering services half decently. Like just the easy ones.
Fully staffing Service Ontarios so wait times are regularly less than 15 minutes.
Hiring more DriveTest staff so you donβt have to book months ahead for a driving test.

Was so fun filming this!!
Me and chanface.bsky.social talk pedestrianization. To support the movement to pedestrianize Church St., sign the petition using the link in my bio. Special thanks to Councillor Chris Moise, his staff, and especially Francesca Policarpio for their hard work in making this a reality!
Picture a friend took of me from a restaurant in the village lol:
The way Iβve bumped into 6 people I know in a span of 30 mins in the village, really goes to show how itβs the beating heart of a community.
We need more space for gathering and events!

Mfw when you bump into trade but heβs with his other twink so you have to do the awkward introduction as a pleasantry that no one wants to doβ¦
However, all is not lost in Toronto as there's a chance to be bold in another place where the sidewalks can't always fit the people who want to be there: Church Street. A proposal hatched by urban planning student Rodney Chan to make Church car-free between Wellesley and Alexander from June until August, as it is during Pride and Halloween night, caught the imagination of city officials. Proving the city can move fast when it wants to, a pilot project for this summer will likely be going to Toronto and East York Community Council on April 30 and could be approved by council in May. The Church Wellesley Village BIA supports the plan, also proving some businesses see value in people-friendly places. There are forces who will pressure the city to maintain the status quo in both these places. If you like these visions for downtown streets, or wish yongeTOmorrow was bolder, make sure your voice is heard.
Not all biz is hostile & unimaginative. The Church Wellesley Village BIA is supporting the Church St pedestrian plan hatched by @chanface.bsky.social
Balto is cute tho, you have enough letters for context
Ohβ¦ thatβs notβ
Not usually a guy to care about defacing a flag but doing that to oppose a high speed rail is crazy lol
Is it a headache or upper neck pain?
Yes.
Thinking about how we could be similarly bold in Waterloo... unfortunately, the dream of a pedestrianized Willis Way is on ice for the foreseeable future (per recent news stories). We need a suitable replacement candidate but Uptown doesn't necessarily have a natural one. Any ideas?
