The best film I’ve seen in years - Long Live the Republic! by Karel Kachyna
Conrad Schnitzler on Tangerine Dream: "It's shit, it goes on and on until I puke"
solid movie, shame there's not a second of TD in the clip
Demographic
My video of Tangerine Dream & Steve Rothery has had over 100,000 views, so what you ask? well I thought this was an interesting stat, there's not a single person under the age of 45 (not one!) - I think TD need to hurry up with the new studio album ;)

There’s a French Virgin pressing of Zeit that’s also backwards
Actually the 12th lineup
The first volume of Marcel Fugere’s Tangerine Dream photos will be available soon
Sorry to be so negative, but your notes about Tangerine Dream's score in Dead Kids uses the wrong photos (not only the wrong lineup - Michael Hoenig labelled as Johannes Schmoelling, but also the wrong band 'Blue Cheer'). Poor
that's not Denmark Street now
The guitar part is fake - all recorded in the studio. Side 4 was originally going to be 3 solo tracks - checkout Haunted Heights by Peter Baumann
50% of Encore is studio
New studio album coming September 2026
Thorsten Quaeschning was actually involved with TD since 2003, he's now the second longest serving member of the band.
No TD lineup has ever lasted more than 7 years, all of the founding members had left by Dec 1968, leaving only Edgar Froese and there have been 42 lineups since 1967.
The Ultima Thule single was the first appearance on a Tron, released August 1971
It wasn't promoting Underwater Sunlight, as the album wouldn't be released until months later. None of the advertising for the tour mentioned Underwater Sunlight
Reached #163 in the U.S Cashbox chart, #7 in Australian 3XY and #11 Go-Set charts. As well as #9 in the UK Melody Maker chart
Underpants!
I'm looking forward to the new Tangerine Dream studio album more
TD in 1975
Rubycon by Tangerine Dream, released today in 1975
there's an entire genre to explore in TD and it's not over yet
The current lineup is the best in decades
The tapes came from the fans in the first place - so not so much of a surprise if you had the TT discs
Just lazy most of the time, don't get me started on mislabelling almost every photo they've posted ;)
and typos have continued on almost every TD cover since ;)
The original title is Geburt - it was mistranslated on the cover as Genesis, the cover also spells Klaus Schulze's name incorrectly and one or two of their birthdays are also wrong.
The correct translation is 'Birth'
