"Walking down a little road
A beautiful lake I see and behold
Going closer
It's gorgeous
Then all I see is a slippy floor"
#FallFriday
Yesterday, between wife's appointment and mine, we walked the grounds of Hastings Conquest Hospital, and indeed behold a beautiful lake.

Car parked on roadside with radio mast attached.
No rural postman has walked the Postman's Path at Shap, Cumbria, for 50 years, so it was nice to see it today still being used for communication. A chap had parked on this fell-top and erected a 30ft mast so he could speak via his two-way radio to a friend thousands of miles away in Namibia.
Too many people cower to criminals
And government crap

Will check it out. Great riff and they look like future stars from this - the singer's little jig and side eye looks remind me of (youtube clips I've seen of) Bon Scott at his campest (and best).

It's hard to live in the country
In the present state of things
Your body gets pulled right back
You get a terrible urge to drink.

You're looking at the Edward VII Coronation Memorial at West Parade, Bexhill-on-Sea, built in 1904.
We were lucky enough to get a look inside, what a stunning clock mechanism, to me this is art, just incredible.

In "The Rye Marshes, East Sussex," Paul Nash captures the tranquil beauty of the English landscape using geometric shapes and muted colors. The painting reflects Nash’s interest in combining natural forms with architectural elements, highlighting his distinctive approach to modernism and surrealism.
