For every pound of apples we sell each month, BriarPatch donates a portion of the proceeds to local schools and organizations to help fund garden initiatives. This month, our Apples for Gardens recipients are Weimar Hills School (Auburn) and John Muir Charter School (Grass Valley).

We had the chance to tour Community Roots and get a behind-the-scenes look at how they’re rethinking school food! 🍏 From sourcing ingredients from local farms to preparing meals from scratch each day, their approach centers on fresh menus that support both student health and the local food system.
Water is life. 💧 This month, we’re proud to support Sierra Streams Institute, one of the key stewards of our local watershed, as our April Round Up recipient at both stores!
