That’s beautiful. I’d like to try something like this but can’t imagine having such a good eye. Nicely done.

You cheeky wotsit! It’s the outcome in the final that matters.

Possibly. I wasn’t convinced by Darcy, but I guess we didn’t see much of him.

The cat is trying to protect you from doing work 😂

The other thing is cost. A is usually cheaper and therefore less of a hit on the pocket so you may sell those more easily.
Sorry, my combined answers probably don’t help very much.

How many books do people tend to take out at a time?
For not breaking my shoulder with weight I usually go for 3-4 books in A. However if the library trip was part of a general shopping trip when I may be picking up light things as well, definitely B. All my best shopping bags are B.

Beautiful! I hope the open day is a success when it arrives.

Very much! Although the first two episodes did prompt a *lot* of tears on Mary’s behalf.

The Other Benett Sister was lovely. I particularly enjoyed all the nods to many of the other Austen books.

I’m hoping Dolly does this when she goes for her monthly check up next week. The vet’s table will need a lot less cleaning than liberally scattering her fur all over the house.

It’s important to have a favourite bench!

There must be a way around that?!

Morning. For a second there I thought you’d left the teabag in.

A photograph showing a carpet of green leaves with a good infill of bluebell flowers. The carpet is interrupted by the occasional young tree trunk, with trees and bushes getting more dense in the background. Sunlight shines through the canopy, which opens into glimpses of blue sky. As an additional observation, the only sound is bird song. It is a beautiful sight experience.

I do love an English woodland in the spring.

Maybe it was deliberately kept quiet? 😉
If I were you, I’d treat it like a birthday because it’s fine to celebrate those at any point in the surrounding week: cake today.

To be fair, they're Bookshop Days rather than Library Days. Which I also just looked up. Apparently National Librarian Day (in various countries) was yesterday! I hope you were properly celebrated.

There are two already, one is part of a week-long event.
Bookshop Day takes place in the autumn, the last one was on 11 October.
Independent Bookshop Week is 13-20 June, and one of the Saturdays within that is usually the main day.
For years I would go on dedicated bookshop crawls on those Saturdays

Good work! Also, thank you. I stopped following them when I left Twitter so it’s nice to find History Today over here.

It’s sleeping beauty Dolly’s 17th birthday today.
Naturally, she is celebrating with a nap 😊

I’ve not actually used it. I hopped into a conversation about it, but I’d guess the answer is that you just get a number.

This whole short thread by @c0nc0rdance.bsky.social is amazing, and this small part of it is especially good for its @secondmentions.bsky.social
