Image is an ad for COMIX-4100-1, a class that will be taught to undergrads by Professor Andy Warner at the California College of the Arts. A simplified stick figure wearing a shirt and tie is sweating and pulling at his shirt collar nervously. THere is an image of a treacherous path with a sign that says "Art Career!" with a sun and rainbow at the end of the horizon. Finally, there is a drawing of a stick figure teacher discussing a white board that says "Act 3" to a student stick figure listening. The image says: "Hey you! Take a class in Professional Practice! Learn how to navigate your career and how to survive and thrive as a working artist. Open to non-comics majors/minors. COMIX 4100-1 Tues 9:00AM - 11:30 AM."

The image is an ad in black with a purple background. There is a bust side profile of a person with long curly black hair, a bow, and several piercings in their nose, tongue, ears and eyebrow. They have their tongue sticking out. THe ad says: "Wanna draw comics? :) COMIX-2210-1 Drawing for Comics. Mon/Thu 3:30-6:00PM Fall 2026. No prereqs. Open to non-majors. Studio elective."

4/14 @ 7pm, join us at CCA for a talk by award-winning artist Shing Yin Khor @shing.bsky.social! Shing will be delivering a talk about making little guys, telling stories with objects, sustaining a multidisciplinary creative career, and the endurance of human-made art.
