if you hit 2846F as youre landing on flat ground youll pick up some speed without dropping the combo. its not that useful for optimal routing but in a scramble itll for sure close out a round

is adding more voiced lines an improvement? well im skipping text box vo as i would with any game, so no its just kindof mildly irritating to hear at most, but more realistically, ignorable

is making the combat smoother an improvement? if you made combat in drakengard fun id kill you. no, the only reason these gameplay changes are acceptable is that it still isnt fun to play

going back to nier but playing the remake this time. shaking my head disapprovingly the whole time so everyone knows i dont approve of "just playing the remake" because "its better"

yeah alright so big catch seems like itd be my thing, but more importantly, yo noid 2 is a classic and reminded me how cool 3d platformer movement could be in a time when most of the genre was kinda disappointing me

this game was really formative for me in a lot of ways, as an open world game and a mech game. i also like to stream an obscenely long semi-casual run sometimes as a bit. in other words: i dont mean any%

i wanted to run this game basically the moment it came out, had a blast playing casually, but it came at a bad time for me to actually commit to a grind. sa2 eat your heart out, this game is CRISP

had this game as a kid, didnt like it, but theres nothing better than clipping into the final boss for a 1 minute any%. i been wanting to knock this one out for probably ten years but for some reason ive never spent the 15 minutes to set it up and learn it
