So I get you logic. And this is truly a curious question - when do you make a change? If the same thing happens next year, do you just continue to roll with it?

I personally think he’s a great coach and likely the best in Avs history. But do the players think he’s a good coach? I don’t know. And that concerns me

I guess the one thing in my mind is that I don’t actually know if Bednar is a really good coach. The Athletic published their players poll for the season and when asked what coach would you want to play for, Bednar received just one vote. That was pretty eye opening to see

So to me the cup run is looking like the outlier, and I guess I ask how long do you keep watching the same thing before trying something else?

The bigger context is important, which probably underscores why this R1 exit is so deflating. They’re never going to be as healthy as they were this off-season.
