This seems like the most inanely obvious thing on earth to me, but art IS THE PROCESS OF MAKING ART. That’s where the beauty is, not just the outcome.

The worst part about being a person who works in tech and who actually wants to do good in the world is that the "leaders" of your industry don't care about that at all. (They actively do the opposite.)
If anything, people advocating for prison-reform (and especially prison-abolishment) would not refer to the imprisoned population as "justice-involved" because the core of the argument is that imprisonment does not represent justice. (Especially in the US prison system.)
Thanks for posting this! I signed! The Siuan stuff is WILD and I need to see where they were going with it.
It’s so weird that we sometimes live in a world where it seems like hope and whimsy are to be avoided. I fucking love hope and whimsy.
I will never not watch this. I love all of it except when he tries to post with his arm on the takedown because I do not want to see someone blow out their elbow. Otherwise, it’s my favorite song.
I think I could name worse people, if we’re being technical. (We are not.)
Enthusiastically accepting your encroaching baldness is a heretofore unseen level of body positivity. Y’all aren’t ready.
AI “art” and videos are so bad that I’m convinced they’re just a data-mining grift. I’ve literally never seen AI-generated visual content that was good. And surely someone will argue with this by posting something they think is good and I’ll be proven right once again.
Ironically—if you don’t believe in the Trinity—it’s evidence of the same thing.
From a Christian theology perspective, if you believe in the Trinity, this means that you implicitly believe that Biblical understanding can evolve over time. This means that your own current understanding of scripture could also evolve.
Listen, the playbook is to pretend every subject and moment exist in a vacuum. Every bad thing that happens (that is, everything that happens in this administration) is an exception to the “rule” that Trump is playing 75D Chess and can do no wrong. (Or it’s in service of that rule.)
Story of Trump’s life, honestly.
“We have money so we’re smarter” is a CONSTANT fallacy of those with money.
I agree! The vast majority of our css is imported, but we have a library dependency that uses inline css, which is where this bug cropped up. Thank you!
@43081j.com are you still actively maintaining this postcss-lit syntax? I posted a PR last week for a bug we ran into, but it doesn't look like the repo has had much activity since about last October or so. Either way, thanks for your work on that! It's been helpful!

Someone sent me this and I thought, “I wonder what Ed Zitron thinks.” This was a good laugh!
I’m tired of the constant fear and the campaign of terror. I’m especially tired of tone-policing white dudes pretending to be reasonable while cheering for atrocities.
All of this is enacted by and undergirded by messaging from the literal federal government, who is engaged in a constant stream of propaganda trying to repaint these events and convince people to ignore what they can clearly see is happening. It is not hyperbole. This is Nazi shit.
They instead choose to imagine a fiction where all these old grandpas and working mothers are hardened criminals in some kind of “invasion”.
They and all their supporters willfully ignore all the facts around the benefits of immigration (including illegal immigration)—not to mention the sheer moral weight of what is being done to our neighbors.
We’re at the point in this country where there is an unaccountable masked force going door to door, ripping people out of their houses, and tearing apart families for the alleged misdemeanor of illegal entry into this country. (Also now just murdering American citizens for opposing them.)
Did you guys know that it was perfectly legal for them to crucify Jesus Christ? And that it was illegal to be a disciple and espouse the views of a known political agitator? A lotta criminals from “sh*thole” places (like Nazareth) in early Christianity.
I keep doing this thing where I figure out the answer in the exact moment I push the button for a Tip, so I’m inflating my result by one because of my own impatience. SLOW DOWN STEVE

Hi Zach! Speaking of making stuff on the internet and building trust, I've been working hard on the daily word game I made and released earlier in 2025. I'd love to get your thoughts (good or bad!) if you have time and energy sometime, as I'm a big, big fan of your work and your ethos. 😄

I’m so glad we’re no longer in Biden’s Christmas-free Happy Holidays hell now that our dear fascist savior king has taken back his throne. Finally the public executions of those daring to utter “Merry Christmas” are at an end.
Do you have existing work I can read or see about these topics? (I’m sorry for not knowing your back catalog! I’m new here.)
“We’re going to make a technology that will solve climate change and cure diseases!”

I’m coming to a realization that a true apocalyptic future for me is one where everything is moderately shitty and no one cares.
Gallbladder excised.
