I would like to draw your attention once again to one of my most recent articles, which I have just updated with some new information which further supports my reporting. Germany is set to support Ukraine in developing a lower-cost Patriot alternative.

President Zelenskyy has taken aim at Trump this morning, and rightly so.
The US President is directly contributing to thr murder of civilians in Ukraine.
Another 82 Russian artillery systems have been hit in the last 24 hours and 5 x MLRS which is almost 5 times above usual.
1,070 more invaders lost their lives or limbs.

Russia fired 236 long range strike drones overnight (no missiles)
203 UAVs were intercepted by 8am, with an extra one downed soon after.
204/236 = 86% success, but still left 32 hits.

This is my daily thread on developments in Ukraine and its defence against the Russian invasion.
Day 1516 of Putin's attempt to eradicate Ukrainian culture & anyone not willing to bow to its demands.
I've written about Ukraine for 25 years, but only sonsecutively for 1,516 days!
In a world first, an interceptor drone launched from an unmanned surface platform shot down a Shahed per USF. The operation was carried out by the Nemesis 412 brigade.
On International Day for Monuments and Sites, the world honors cultural heritage.
For Ukraine, it’s also a reminder of the many landmarks destroyed by Russian attacks—part of a broader effort to erase Ukrainian identity.

If this isn’t bullshit then it’s classic mirroring…. I’m guilty of something bad so I’m gonna put it onto you
❗️Lithuania and Latvia refused Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico permission to fly through their airspace for his planned visit to Moscow to celebrate May 9
I'm finally able to write and catch up on the day's events. I realise there has been a tragedy in Kyiv, which looks like a terrorist attack.
I did not want to speculate and was not able to investigate so I didn't post at the time. But let me start with something happening now:
Hope the presentation went well Tim
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has set an ambitious goal to transition up to 100% of frontline logistics to robotic systems.
To meet new target, Ukraine’s MoD plans to contract 25,000 UGVs in the first half of 2026, twice as many as were contracted throughout all of 2025.
Mykolaiv has received a total of 16 high-performance generators from the German-Ukrainian association Blau-Gelbes Kreuz e.V.. The generators are now being distributed to social and educational facilities throughout the city.
Heavy bomber drones deploy mine barriers along Russian logistics routes.
🇺🇦 Magyar: “The Sting of the Freedom-Loving Ukrainian Bird on the night of April 18 tasted: Novokuibyshevsk refinery, Vysotsk Lukoil-2 port, Syzran refinery, Tikhoretsk oil transfer, Sevastopol oil depot, several military facilities in TOT.”

Два НПЗ і два десантні кораблі 🎯🎯

Security Service of 🇺🇦 had a very productive time in Russian-occupied Crimea:they launched a strike on 3 Russian vessels,a radar and Russian logistics
The vessels:
▪️Yamal,a large landing ship of the Russian Navy
▪️Azov,a large landing ship of the Russian Navy
▪️A Russian warship, type unclear so far
View from a passenger aircraft shows burning oil tanks at the Tuapse refinery, still on fire for the third day after the strike.
Right now, three oil refineries are burning simultaneously in Russia. Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran are burning after tonight's night attack, and Tuapse, in the video, is burning for the third day after the last attack.
The Birds of Magyar unit destroyed Russian TOS-1A MLRS. The vehicle was initially critically damaged by Bulava loitering munition, causing detonation of a few missiles, and later finished of by FPV strikes.
Bulava loitering munition strike causes the Russian TOS-1A 220mm MLRS to open fire on its own cover group.
Gooooood morning, friends 🎯🎯
28 Russian drones hit Ukraine during the night. 17 locations were affected.
191 of 219 long-range UAVs were intercepted (the last one affer this graphic was published).
That gives a success rate of 87%
Not too much to say about Russia's losses in the last 24 hours.
82 artillery systems and 4 x MLRS are probably the highlights.
And again more than 1,000 invaders are suitably punished.
Ukrainian kinetic sanctions, probably the most effective sanctions in the world 🇺🇦
Доооооброго ранку, друзі 🎯🎯
