If they came to AUS it didn't help. Here in QLD I've watched the same public sector jobs be supposedly filled and then readvertised (sometimes twice) in the last 6 months. I figured natural churn but the rate seems too high?

I love this 😎👍
I just want Siri to work better 😢
Agreed. The operative words in my post were ‘Trump believes…’. I think he and his cohort are dangerous fools.
Trump believes education policy should be managed by states rather than the federal government. He sees the department as an unnecessary layer of bureaucracy that limits local control over education.
Awesome - I'm putting that up on my office notices board
A tip for those international Guardian subscribers who can't stomach 4 more years of "look what Trump just said" - change the bookmarked URL from /international to /world and preserve your sanity.
Kyle MacLachlan's comments following David Lynch's death are just lovely😪
Some sort of culture war weirdness would be my guess. It’s so oddly defensive.
With an exemption for pharmaceuticals I would guess - can’t hike the prices of Ozempic and Wegovy surely.
How is this man’s name not in the public domain yet?
How on earth does it cost $85m to strengthen a pedestrian bridge? Is there a detailed cost breakdown somewhere because I’m calling bullsh*t.
ahhh - now I'm picking up what you're putting down
Look up?
Ok fella - you just earned a follow 👍
The article contains virtually nothing on her policy positions. What's her actual position on gun violence? I had to go to Wikipedia to learn more. She may be a truly terrible pick but how am I to judge that when the news focusses on something that happened when she was 13?
I'm all for transparency in these nominations but to lead this article with the shooting story is irresponsible. She was a kid and it was an accident. Do better Guardian.
Definitely grading on a curve
Bar chart shows the % of global fossil fuel emissions occurring in a lifetime with bars of different length for ages from 5 to 100 years. More emissions happen over a longer lifetime. During the life of an 85 year old, 90% of all emissions happened. For someone age of 30 the rate is already 50%
If you're aged 30 or more, then 50% of all human fossil fuel emissions happened during your lifetime
Wow - that must have taken an age to research and edit.
Actually this pick is really not too bad.
Map divides western Australia, which looks like a dog's head, and eastern Australia, which looks like a cat's head.
This map will change how you look at Australia
wow - almost 20% think they can beat a chimp in a fight!
Chart shows share of Americans who say they could win in an unarmed fight with various animals. 6% say they could beat a grizzly bear, 8% say they could beat a lion, 12% say they could beat a wolf.
American delusions
