I KNOW! I was 11 years old. None of us had ever seen anything like it.

“stupid Trump tweet” is redundant.

I’m just amazed how anyone can have that kick after 26 miles. I need a nap after watching that.

WJC might have been lucky, but the middle class benefited and we had our last budget surplus. DJT is even luckier but the country suffers as a result.

Yeah, he has a habit of moving the goalposts. It’s a neat trick that works really well in threaded discussions and he is really good at it.

Don’t mind me. I’m dining with Nazis tonight but my pocket square, which is unreadable, says Nazi go home

Why haven’t you been reporting on Trump’s mental issues with your press freedoms?

Every Truth social post and tweets before that should have been news but you did nothing with your freedom.

Jake, let’s face it. You’re a hack.

Not to mention his subtle racism claiming clinics in Mexico are worse than in Europe. You can actually get great medical care in Mexico and shitty care in Europe and vice versa. Both exist everywhere and grifters exist in both locations because the public isn’t capable of “doing its own research”

I just watched your video with Matt Kaerberlin, PhD, He doesn’t see patients. So his libertarian perspective on letting people do experimental treatments as long as they are well informed is incredibly naïve. He isn’t treating the downstream effects from the misinformed patients.

It says that people like lower taxes and don’t understand how some government programs keep them safe or even above water and things go to shit when the guardrails are gone.

See Doge.

Unfortunately you have to get to an extreme situation before an argument of raising taxes on the rich can be done without losing elections. Mamdani/Hochul just proposed a pied a terre tax on non residents and you’d think NYC was finished. The press seem to have missed that congestion pricing worked.

“The market” is an indicator of future expectations of business. It is not an indicator of current vitality of an overall economy. As for blaming Dems for not having rolled back trickle down, doesn’t make that theory correct. You’re mixing an economic argument with a political one.

I was about to comment the same thing but you said it more nicely than me.

I caught that too. You can figure out who she is from that and she was not that well known. It’s not that big of a deal, but at the same time, it really wasn’t Keith’s story to tell either.

JD thinks he needs to be careful in matters of public policy? Isn’t this the guy who said it was OK to make things up if necessary to make his point. There are some Haitians that never ate a dog or cat in Ohio whowould like a word with JD.

What an ass.

Yes. And this goes back before Trump. He is just the natural endpoint. GOP policies have been anti the people under Bush, Bush and Reagan.

If Soros only funded 1/10th of what they claim, the Dems would be rolling in cash.

Sigh. Since folks are struggling with the “yes and” I shall demonstrate

This is great news AND really does show there is hope in the U.S. since we aren’t as badly gerrymandered as Hungary. Demonstrates how important it is to vote.

See, I added a thought without negating the OP. IT CAN BE DONE!

People here have a hard time with the “yes, and”.

Except the GOP never stood for balanced budgets or sound money, just lower taxes for the rich and failed trickle down economics. Nor have they stood for the bill of rights as they attempted for decades ( and finally succeeded) to strip women of the right for bodily autonomy. That said, MAGA sucks.

It all depends how the word “successful” is interpreted

Feckless reporters @nytimes.com please explain how giving Iran control of the strait of Hormuz and letting them charge $1-$2M per ship passing through is a “tactical victory”.

500 words or less please. I’m waiting.

Except the people you are referring to never actually learn the lesson. They just double down… we just didn’t bomb enough.

I grew up a very sheltered Jew and didn’t understand how all of these people who believed in Jesus somehow were not the same thing.

He did accomplish one thing. Operation get them to talk about anything else is in a success in his mind. Death and destruction is a small price to pay just as long as we are no longer mentioning “Jeffrey Epstein”.

It isn’t *necessarily* a bad thing. But too often people revise their personal history to escape criticism or blame for past behavior or decisions. I think the term is most often used in this regard which is why it’s viewed in a negative connotation.
