The ideal is not to use high pollutant data center yep. I have friends who's water is actively being affected. I'd rather we doing ask AI for frankly terrible data output for its energy use in exchange for poison
I agree there but utilizing these services and creating demand for high pollutants is not good. Ai data centers are shown to produce pollutants more aggressively- and in more residential areas. We can as consumers choose to not support it and in tandem do better for those communities affected
Ai uses higher data demands it is uniquely ineffectual in its use on power and AI data centers have been shown to be quickly built without regard for surrounding communities.
