WIP update on my Blood Angel. Still need to finish basing and add some highlights, but speed paints are done!

WIP of my first 40k mini. Trying out spray black primer, gray zenithal highlight, and white dry brushing. If I like it, I’ll probably make my next Blood Bowl team and Battletech Aces box using this method.

I need to revisit the bases one final time once they dry, but I’m calling my Norse cheerleaders done for now. I suck at eyes! LOL

WIP on my Blood Bowl Norse cheerleaders. Finished applying the base coats and speed paints. Lots of little details that I need to clean up. Then add eyes and other touches before I finish off the bases.

LOL the Gothic minis do take a lot longer to paint just because of all the extra details they have. Lots of spikey ornamental stuff. The banners hanging off the mechs were really fun to paint and put decals on.

I really went back and forth on if I wanted to do Davion style, or Kurita like on the box. I ended up trying to make a Gothic version of the 1st FedSun Armored Cavalry. But if I get any more Gothic minis I'll definitely revisit and maybe do a Gothic version of the 2nd Sword of Light.

Thanks! I was trying to make a Gothic version of the 1st FedSuns Armored Cavalry. Like this. To give it a more grimdark look, I started with black primer, then dry brush gray and white. Applied speed paints, then finished up with a few acrylic highlights.

Finished painting my Battletech Gothic box! Really happy with how they turned out.

Been a while since I updated here, but I just finished my first two Battletech Gothic minis and I’m very happy with the results. Used slap chop, and it really did a nice job giving them a grimdark look.

I’m super excited about the upcoming release of Battletech Aces, so I started a solo Hinterlands campaign using the Aces beta cards. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Good guys (Northwind Highlanders) won by crippling the two AI Jade Falcons.

Finished painting my Alpha Strike box set, so I decided to play a game with my 11yo son using Aces! We had lots of fun. Can’t wait for the full release of Aces.
