Yes, the system is totally rigged against non-men when it comes to money. And yes it absolutely can be harmful. So I try extra hard to be sure it isn’t for us.

My wife and I have shared bank accounts. I make money she works hard as a mom, housework, and volunteers teaching and has zero income. This is a privilege. But we decide equally on what we spend our money on. My salary is our money. It’s the mindset that’s important here.

I think your question has been answered by the reaction of general society to this question. In court, convictions often hinge on what a reasonable person should think.
