Impossible to disagree with a single word that Ben Rhodes (Obama era NSC official) is saying here:

Netanyahu is bombing Lebanon because his political career (and therefore avoidance of prosecution) depends on constant war. How many more people must die for the sake of one man's standing?

Brilliant. Saw them in Brisbane in April. A wonderful night of fun and nostalgia and fabulous 80s synth pop. Can't believe we got to see the full Soft Cell before Dave's battle was lost. Marc was fantastic all night. Legends.

Feels like his time is almost up. But some of these players need to take a long hard look at themselves, too. VVD, Konate, Mac, Kirkez, Isak, Mo, are performing nowhere near last season's levels. Why? And what can be done to address it?

What a display from #Chelsea. Fast, incisive and aggressive. All the things that we currently aren't @lfcr.bsky.social #CHEBAR #ECL

Sorry, but this is boring. Few voters care. Tell them he's coming for your money, your pension, your sovereignty, your rights, your money, YOUR MONEY, and maybe they'll care. But pussy-footing around? Forget it. He'll get rid of the blacks. Wins every time (even though he won't)

New: Boris Johnson’s ‘Brexit Titanic success’ was half right Nearly ten years on, the first full assessment of Brexit confirms what millions warned: Britain made itself poorer

Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances. A new decade-long Brexit study explains it: a 6–8% hit to GDP – that's £180bn-£240bn a year – means less tax, less investment and less money for everything else.

Brexit made Britain poorer. Much poorer.

Just so weak, mentally and physically. Today ok til behind, then awful. Bullied at set pieces (both ends). Slow in transition. Decision-making poor, especially up front. So easy to play through. NF blocked any shot, we turn our back and stick our arse out (VVD). So disappointing.

On the anniversary of the day Margaret Thatcher resigned, let us take a moment to remember what a cruel, heartless piece of shit she was.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the start of the Nuremberg Trials. In 2018, I spent an afternoon with Ben Ferencz who, at the age of 99, was the last living prosecutor of the Nazis. Here’s what he had to say in “Fahrenheit 11/9” about the dark turn the world was taking.

This week I'm mostly listening to #LadyGaga ahead of seeing her at Suncorp next month. Loving reconnecting with early albums and catching up on on the new. Can't wait for the gig.
This year in Brisbane, the music has been fantastic.

Is there anyone in the UK that actually supports @teamlabouruk.bsky.social anymore, or is the country lost to Farage? I barely see a post in support of Starmer's government, regardless of what they do.

Trump vs The BBC.
Love or loathe the BBC, recent events have put the UK's journalistic sovereignty in peril.

I was tagged and asked to take a look at this claim - cos, well just look at it!🙄

Does it seem plausible that THE Trocadero is going to be turned into a Mosque?

It was pretty easy to debunk but I decided to do a deep dive into the reality AND the appalling press coverage

Nuts, isn't it? I don't often return to twitter, but my timeline is full of Reform whenever I do.

We've been awful all season. Easy to play against. Pack your defence, we don't have the guille to prise you open. Hit us on the break, our defence is so slow. And cross the ball, we can't handle crosses. Slot needs to change this. If that means bruising egos, so be it.

I remember the album (all Canadian songs, i think). Did the most beautiful cover of a Jane Siberry song, The Valley. Spectacular and well worthy of looking up.

I still prefer Leonard Cohen (and Jeff Buckley's)
Hallelujah, though.
