As a European who grew up listening to English, French, Italian, and Spanish music, watching US citizens cry about being exposed to a Spanish performance is absolutely wild ! 🤯

It's wild to see how much living in a two party system has caused such a big divide on global acculturation compared to other democratic countries with many political parties.

Republican led states nowadays are the ones leading the charge on shifting the education in their states so that children are less and less cultured internationally, whereas in the Democratic led states there's more push for diversity education.

Spanish speakers are so incredibly common here in the United States but the racism runs very deep. Many generations of othering and feeding white superiority complexes. Puerto Rico is one of our territories and it's primarily Spanish speaking but many Americans had no idea before the superbowl.
