I love TinyD6 for this. Just enough mechanics to get a sense for how such things work in TTRPGs, and plenty of room for narrative character and story exploration.

You brought home the Best Argentine, and we're all the better for it. Congratulations to you and Juan for one hell of a Year One! We're super happy for you guys.
We were *just* talking about Shamrock Shake Season, with me wondering if it's still a thing. CONFIRMED yay!
Hm. Perhaps a result of Ent shibari?
I'll see myself out.

Happy First Calendar Friday!
A mahogany-haired half elf with a beard Van Dyke beard and mustache. He is obviously muscular and ready for fisticuffs.
We're setting sail to Greyhawk! I'll be playing Rindalith "Rin" Dranmoor, half-elf pugilist, cook, and sailor. Raised in the diaspora by his extended human family, Rin's prominent elvish features often lead to awkward interactions with elves since he doesn't know the elvish language.
Adventure ho!

Interesting choice! I'd be inclined to use my worn old copy of Leaves if Grass.
The cover of Mazes and Labyrinths: Their History and Development, by W.H. Matthews.
Saw this in the window of Magus Books on my way to work today. Hope it's still there by the time I'm off.
I played a Pirate Borg game run by @thiseffingm.bsky.social at Gamehole Con this year and it was super fun! Will *gets* the mood and tone of the setting and did a great job drawing the table into the adventure. I cannot wait to see how he expands the core rules. Grab yer cursed gold and back this!
This is super cool! Congratulations on the expanded portfolio. I've got "Everyday Heroes", but hadn't heard of "Lost World Heroes" 'til now. This is absolutely my jam. Can't wait to read your adventure!
Oof that is a lot. Hope the news isn't insurmountable. Sending extra love your way. 🫂
Hopefully the coming feast day will be pleasantly distracting. 🦃🤞
When giving a portable electronic device as a gift, be sure the device is charged or has fresh batteries. Giving a console gaming system? Plug it in and patch it before you wrap it up.
And be sure to include rope and a consent form when giving the kinky AI teddy bear.

Happy PMSSBTPFaSFTSBV Day!
Sunrise over a college campus, highlighting pink clouds.
A lovely day for growing older. 💀 Happy Halloween! 🎃
(I honestly have no idea what building maintenance thinks this arrangement will accomplish. Top bucket fills, spills over, runs down the outside of the hose? Inscrutable engineering.)
A small plastic waste pail set to capture water leaking in from the roof. The garden ends inside it.
I peered into the void and beheld A BUKKIT.
It is a day for Ancient Memes and keeping the Old Ways.
An office desk with a couple of computers in a professional office. A large plastic garbage bin can be seen to one side. A curled garden hose leads from the bin to the ceiling.
Ceiling tile missing in the ceiling, with a water hose disappear into the unknowable depths.
Got into the office and discovered they're trying to prove the existence of Ceiling Cat again.
Poor Juan, obviously grimacing at the noise of the mortars and artillery fire. And antifa surging behind you! You are brave souls. With good taste.
(Hope y'all had a great time!)
Books from Gamehole Con XII. Two Numenera novels (by Shanna Germain), Deluxe Magnus Archives RPG (Monte Cook), 2nd Edition Harlem Unbound (Chris Spivey), Call of Cthulhu Starter Set (Mike Mason et al.), Agents of the Gilded Palm (Matthew Sargent), Shadowdark, Doom in the Red Wastes, & Solo Dark (Arcane Library), and Be Like A Cat (Tim Roberts, Critical Kit)
#Gamehole XII treasure trove! Thank goodness I had an upper weight limit 'cause of the plane. 😅

A shot of Midleton Extra Rare Irish whiskey.
Preparing to leave the Midwest. Wil and I have had an amazing time, culminating in the discovery of Midleton Extra Rare at the airport bar. Best #GameholeCon yet!
The most fun I've ever had running 'shine, and I laughed my ass off. Great stuff!
Che, was awesome to hang out with you again. Nos ponemos al día en abril, amigo!

Our 16th (?) anniversary spent at our third #GameholeCon, including the annual pilgrimage to Sol's On The Square (best Korean in Madison). I love this place almost as much as I love my husband. 🥰
This. So many games have massive epic campaign arcs or deep lore revealed over many sessions, making them difficult to dip into...each is an expected commitment (and product lock-in). Would love smaller settings that somehow incentivize/reward you for the other games & characters you've played.

Leavin' on that jet plane. See ya soon, #GameholeCon!
