Same. I have a very small family on my mom’s Jewish side, partly because a lot of them died, but also because trauma from pogroms traumatized people, and they did not-great things that traumatized future gens, which isolated people. Almost every Jew I know has similar families.

I’ve noticed it too. I have also noticed an increase in accounts that are clearly Nazi bots or trolls. In fact, a lot of the posts that get reskeeted in good faith are from those accounts, accidentally amplifying their message. I assume the shift you mentioned is because we’re approaching midterms.

But it stuck with me for sooooo long, which to me is the mark of a good ending. I still think about it.

My three-year-old son SCREAMED at me for peeling the wrapper of a granola bar too far down, lol. I give up.

I feel this way too. It’s depressing to think that my and my family’s murder would get brushed off at best or justified at worst strictly because a country I’ve never been to and don’t support committed war crimes.

I moved back to Northern California a few years ago after growing up here, and the difference is stark, particularly in the mountains. Rain and 60-degree weather in January and February in Truckee. Makes me ill.

My kids’ gymnastics studio has a little freezer with ice cream that they sell for $2. The kids walk right by it after class. Excellent business model, but so, so cruel.
