I gave mine to my daughter….
Picture? :)
These images show live embryos of animals (jellyfish, crustacean, worm, sea urchin, sea squirt, beetle) and one of animals closest single-celled relatives. They were captured taking advantage of fluorescent proteins localised on the outer membrane of cells, allowing us to observe cell outlines. 1/9
Congratulations Roland! Looking forward to see the next 20 years :)

This year, the annual symposium of my Chaire @college-de-france.fr will be on The Evolution of Developmental Mechanisms. An impressive lineup of speakers and weirds animals, including humans. Free entrance and coffee breaks. Come, have a seat, relax and enjoy the best possible basic science🤘RT🙏
Congratulation Emmanuelle! Very well deserved for beautifull work!
Drosophila border cells are beautiful to watch… but far from easy to image. Kudos to the brave and skilled @vitoryang.bsky.social, who took on the challenge of establishing border cell migration imaging in the lab! His movies are astonishing, and now our first-ever study on #cell #migration is out!
Orban concedes defeat. The support of Trump, Vance, Putin, Lavrov, Weidel, Milei, Le Pen, Fico, Babis and many others could not overcome Hungarian anger at a stagnant, corrupt regime

Had a lot of fun at the @embo.org cytoskeleton forum @sorbonne-universite.fr this week! As a bonus, got to discover the view from the tour de Jussieu (which is very nice, as from it, you don’t see the tour de Jussieu). Kudos to organizers @romet-jegou-lab.bsky.social @echardlab-pasteur.bsky.social
You gave a superb talk Thibaut!
🧬 Last call to join us in Cambridge for #EMBOMBoA26 (July 6th-10th)!
We are just one week away from the registration and abstract submission deadline for the EMBO Workshop on the Molecular Biology of Archaea!
Looking to get back into research after a career break? Come and join us!
Foldscope could be used maybe?
Maybe could use foldscope as well?
I'm hiring! I have 2 open positions:
🔬 Postdoc
🧪 Research associate
We study how animal multicellularity evolved by exploring the molecular logic of cell adhesion using cell biology, 'omics, and tool-building in non-model organisms.
Come join us!

Girl power!
Never change in Chatelet or Montparnasse 😉
We are looking for a new group leader to join the IGH (Montpellier, France). I can’t wait to meet my future colleague! Apply :-) More infos here: igh.cnrs.fr/join-igh-as-...
Congrats!!! Zebrafish?!

Expansion microscopy of a loricate choanoflagellate, generated by Mylan Ansel in our lab 🤩
(yes, the lorica expands. No, we don't understand how either)
Choanos on an hydra tentacule 🧐
Wonderful retreat of Cell and Dev Biol @cirbcdf.bsky.social @college-de-france.fr 👏👍 Great talks from young colleagues, lot of energy and good vibes🔥 (also karaoké, I heard) 🙏 organisers, you rock!
Are you curious about animal origins? Want to perturb their genetics to find out more? Now it's a lot cheaper: the FUNR @frutag33.bsky.social Lab's effort to make transfection more accessible for choanos (& relatives) is up now! 🧬

Most beautiful tree! Should become embroidery :)
www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... Amazing work by Kris and gang! For the first time we have been able to image division ring components live in Sulfolobus. And guess what - CdvA is asymmetrically inherited.
