For all that they deserve, at the very least, electoral humiliation and banishment.

Don't let them guilt-trip you back to voting for them. They decided that whole demographics don't matter. They tacitly decided that it doesn't matter that UK trans people's lives are becoming more and more unlivable. They decided that the Israeli govt's onslaught against Gaza is acceptable, etc.

Labour are deep into this as well. They're trying hard to appeal to the far right, but the far right still despise them. This is doing two things: 1) strenghening and further mainstreaming far-right narratives and 2) pushing many of their voters towards the Liberal Democrats and the Greens.

And worse they are being pandered to by power. The average British Twitter lunatic is the new everyman the political class has decided must be won over. If you're not white, cis, hetero, middle class (but pretend working class) and fantasise about drowning asylum seekers then you don't matter.

And I get the sense looking at it that these people might as well inhabit an entirely different reality to me. I have a hard time getting my head round the fact that such wacky, extremely xenophobic people really exist. And yet they do.

I looked at Twitter for a bit. The British part. It's a downright hallucinogenic experience. The right-wing fondness for AI perfectly complements their hallucinogenic view of the world. Brit Twitter: it is a circus of horrors.

How long do you think it'll be before we start seeing massive promo campaigns for swanky beachside holidays in 'Israel' and how soon after that will people start saying things like "oh let it go, we had a wonderful time at Trump Resort Gaza. The Palestine thing was years ago, let it go".
