Unfortunately the current view on assault in schools is that it is an unmet need & therefore the teacher is always at fault for not handling things differently. Other children are inevitably drawn in with “don’t XXXXX or they’ll get upset & hurt you” so they feel to blame. More staff are needed.
It is the teacher’s job to understand the behaviour but it is nobody’s job to be assaulted, especially not girls.
