Let’s talk about Epstein, Trump and Mandelson …

No billionaire is self-made.
They all benefit from transport systems, legal systems, education systems along with defence of their environment.
Epstein Files?
Yeah. Release the Epstein Files.
This is so important. New study shows 90% odds of the #AMOC being 50% weaker by 2100.
Now Europe and E Canada have to prepare to be colder and face intense storms, and the rest of the northern hemisphere has to prepare for heavier rain … while India and west Africa are likely to have less. Bonkers.
Climate denial? Doesn’t sound like he’s good with data.
What did you say Bessent’s day job entails.
Oh!
Yes is winning on 58%
Mail is running a poll on whether the UK should rejoin the EU.
Takes seconds to vote and it's going hilariously well...

70% Rejoin.
But how delusional is the DM to even think to run a survey and think it would support Brexit?
We have lost a decade. Let’s lose Brexit now.
Because I trust all of the drivers I see on the roads.
Oh! Hang on … You mean OTHER drivers 😱
So we are taking back control, but the people who put the control mechanisms in place do not like it.
Oh well.
Let’s add Brexit to that list.
Congratulations Hungary. Wonderful news.
I’ve read a few.
People who know me say I’ve read more than most people.
It’s good to read. Don’t stop.
And a referendum is not the only process. Come on.
Commented in reply to the article.
I think it is spot on for the President to take a position. Talks should be held if they’re wanted and it seems they are.
So you are happy with shooting down the drones. Yes?
And to give balance, you referred to my colour and gender which I can’t do much about and does not seem relevant to the issue of bases.
I’m glad you agree.
A first name is pretty well anonymous. But no ill harm intended so please accept my apologies on that.
The protests in Cyprus regarding bases are entirely legitimate and understandable. Of course they are. And I’d support the view of locals in an ongoing policy. But an article alone is not enough.
I’m happy with shooting down drones.
And I don’t support Israel’s actions.
And I don’t support Iran’s actions.
Nor the US in this matter.
It’s a very good article.
And it would be great if locals got to express their views and their preference enacted. There’s many ways for that to happen - and that would be another matter for them to agree.
So now the UK doesn’t have to abandon all of their bases. Got it.
This policy is hard to keep up with.
I’m happy shooting down drones.
See ‘all’.
I’m not saying they have to have a referendum.
I’m saying a vote by locals seems better than a social media post as a basis for governing bases.
Not trying to be unreasonable.
A policy of dispersal is not quite the same as abandoning bases, is it now.
And when I asked for clarification on there being no US bases in the region you replied that it may well be news to me - rather suggesting you were saying all US bases were closed.
You don’t have to use the word all.
I see. So you suggest that if the US should decide to leave one base then the UK should leave all of their bases.
Have I got that right?
If so, could you explain as the logic seems a little incoherent to me.
Do post a link that shows the US has abandoned all bases in the gulf and Middle East.
I have looked. I couldn’t find one. Neither could google.
I’m simply suggesting the UK didn’t setup bases in the gulf without local cooperation.
I mean, if you know better do share.
Unless you’re suggesting the UK setup bases in the gulf against the wishes of the local governments. That would be something.
No US bases in the Middle East? That is news.
The UK seems to be getting better at downing the drones, but if you know better do share.
