It’s good there’s potentially an incubator for new comedic talent to fill the waning panel show gap.

in the Oscars straight up “Jerskin Fendrix” and by “Fendrix”, haha, well, let’s justr say the composer of Bugonia
I love the art design and music of Marathon, but after Destiny 2 I find it hard to want to pick up another game that will push the boundaries of how much crap players will take and how much they are willing to pay. It’s an abusive relationship with Bungie and many live service developers/publishers.
Good luck with it, but it’s a shame that recent anime screenings at the IMAX don’t seem to be selling very well. All You Need Is Kill looked almost empty. I don’t see a lot of promotion for them.
This makes me feel emotions
Gross but obvious logical step towards our techno-feudalist nightmare future
I’m thankful for them, been aware of a lot I would never have known about thanks to the site.
The movie Arrival but the aliens bring the ability for humans to understand nuance in challenging topics
it’s noticeable how much worse the reaction is from US commenters, who seem to have less exposure to the documentation of this form of Tourette’s, as well as a subtly different relationship to race conflict than in the UK (which, needless to say, obviously has issues with race).
This unfortunately feels like it’s become a lightning rod for the anger at some of the heinous racism and xenophobia that’s happening in the USA and the larger world particularly recently.
Any black person hearing that word is a victim of (at least) that societal racism, and in a different way that damage extends to Davidson as a Tourette’s sufferer whose mind latches on to the potency of it as the most offensive slur of our times.
I’ve seen so many takes that Davidson would only have that word in his brain if he was racist, and it’s just a total misunderstanding of the condition. We live in a racist society, that word is known by everyone and highly charged, giving it power as a taboo. The taboo is what Tourette’s draws on.
Just went to see the 1987 vampire western, Near Dark. As the lights went up after, a guy near me turned round and deadpan said ‘You know that was a true story?’
Timing, delivery & joke, 10/10
It’s made me so sad.
Hopefully the awards buzz can bring more attention to the disability and I, Swear is a very powerful way to do that.
I’m terribly sad hearing about John Davidson’s Tourette’s outbursts at the BAFTA’s and seeing responses to it online. There’s no easy answers. Tourette’s is devastating and I imagine he’s mortified. It’s also horrendous for the black people on stage to hear the slur seemingly aimed at them.
Motherfucking Bluepoint?! What a cruel decision and a waste of talent.
Those credit jokes are eternally good
I was in love with the original Mario Tennis on GBC, which also has a full RPG within it and might be of interest after your experience with the GBA one. It definitely felt like it was not as known as Golf.
Vita Means Life
I’ve only been listening for a couple of months so I was not prepared for this runtime
The KCD leadership has done such an excellent job at turning me off playing their games just when I’m getting interested. From weird gamergate and ethnic purity stuff for the first game to tone-deaf AI outbursts, this guy is a PR nightmare.
Switch sale coming soon?
Hey thanks so much! Really looking forward to delving into the back catalogue!
The new Star Wars Galactic Racer has multiple vehicle types - Speeder Bike, Landspeeder and Podracer(?) - and it’s making me hopeful it’ll end up being a Motorstorm-type experience, which had excellent class dynamics.
Nimble bikes could weave between the crowd & 8 wheelers could smash through it.
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them
A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.
Oh, that’s devastating. Red Alert 2 and Yuri’s Revenge were such formative games for me and in no small part due to the delicious performances of actors like Udo Kier.
Udo Kier as Yuri in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
And of course Yuri in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2.
Udo Kier in Johnny Mnemonic
Udo Kier in Armageddon
Udo Kier in Seaquest DSV
Udo Kier in Iron Sky 2
RIP Udo Kier (1944-2025), a German character actor with a prolific and eclectic career (My Own Private Idaho, Blade, Ace Ventura, Dancer in the Dark, Grindhouse, Suspiria, Dogville...)
In sci-fi: Johnny Mnemonic, Melancholia, Armageddon, Dracula 3000, Metropia, Iron Sky, Downsizing, Seaquest DSV...
