Environmental Services is hard at work doing a thorough clean in the unit. Fans are in operation to further clean the air and Occupational Health and Safety is doing frequent checks of air quality.

Laboring moms can continue to come to the unit’s triage for assessment. Unfortunately, scheduled C-sections and appointments for the afternoon are being rebooked.

An electrical plug in our Childbirth Unit caught fire and a Code Red was called. A nurse quickly swooped in and extinguished the fire, and all our patients and staff are safe.  (A huge call out to nurses on Nursing Week – they truly do it all — even firefighting!)
