But the subway is dangerous! (Not to deflect from the horror that these women went through. Hopefully they will all confidently come forward and be heard, with appropriate actions taken.)

Interesting — thanks for the anecdote!
No problem, glad you like the pictures! It's such a beautiful place, isn't it?
Three schedules, the first two as described and the third a station screen showing World Trade Center–bound trains in 2 and 37 minutes
Ridiculous timing getting home from Newark airport. No 107 bus between 22:14 and 23:26. No train between 22:27 and 23:15. Thank goodness I caught the 62 right away and made this PATH train. Yes, I know I'm supposed to take the overpriced Coach USA express bus. I don't want to. #EWRairport #NJTransit
That makes sense. It would be nice if there were a better commercial area around there, a not-too-tall-built place for strolling and eating and drinking and sitting, and of course housing...and then of course good transit. But arriving near the city center is nice, too.
It was nice when I worked on one and walked 10 minutes home to Hell's Kitchen after docking. Actually I think the terminal there is good; I've been aboard a few ships and it's so convenient when you can walk into town. Why should NYC be different? Maybe downtown makes more sense if there's room.
Definitely. It was crazy that I had to take a bus to visit my partner directly across the Hudson from me. Only solution was to move in together.
You are forgiven and the world is in balance again, as I mistakenly walked the north side last month, forgetting that they had opened the south side since the previous time I crossed the bridge on foot.
