Rain is moving in and will be on-and-off until tomorrow morning. No severe weather is expected.
The Dense Fog Advisory has been pushed to our east, the NWS decided not to keep it in place for Sumner County since visibility has improved. We still have some patchy fog lingering, so if you’re out and about, take it slow and stay alert.
Looks like NWS is extending the Dense Fog Advisory for us until Midnight.
Don’t be surprised if you wake up to a light dusting of snow on cars and grassy surfaces. Watch for a few slick spots if you’re heading out this morning.

A Cold Advisory will be in effect from Midnight Friday Night to noon Monday.
For very cold wind chills as low as -4 expected Saturday and Sunday Morning. We will have 60+ hrs of below-freezing temperatures once more before a warming spell next week.
If you are hearing “booms.” It is Frost Quakes. Harmless but expected because of the winter storm.

4:18PM Power Outage Update: 26.7K still out. Down from the 32K from earlier. Looks like NES numbers are going down and CEMC are holding steady.
So some of you are saying that you are seeing puddles and rain. Get this, a friend from the NWS said that the rain rates are so impressive that it is still freezing rain that some of the droplets are struggling to freeze!! That’s crazy!

We’re starting to see power outage issues creeping into Tennessee as freezing rain continues to fall. If outages do happen, the most likely window looks to be later this morning into mid-morning. Stay alert and be ready.
