I personally got into music for the collaborative end of creating things. Those spontaneous moments of making fails turn into wins brings me such joy. Either as a producer or collaborator. it's a process that's fun and intense at times. 8/9
I think it's best these two types find each other and start group projects, but lately I've seen more and more Solo performers trying to be songwriters visa versa. we're almost forced to be solo artists instead of collaborating. 7/9
I think it comes down to two types of creatives: the performer and the songwriter. The performer loves to play their instrument and be on stage/play live. The songwriter loves creating new things. I see myself more as a songwriter and a performer. 6/9
if you want quick money and fit in to what's trendy, then try to mimick what's out there. Often times it takes a while to get out there and what is usually 'picked up' is something unique and different. 5/9
It's important to recognize what makes you unique and different and highlighting that. Instead of trying to conform to what everyone else is doing. There's also nothing wrong with playing a generic sound, but they have two different goals. 4/9
One technique I'd do when looking for a new amp/guitar at a store is try to mimic the exact same setup at home, and if i couldn't get that I won't buy it.
Also the reason why certain artists blow up isn't because of just their sound. and mimicking that isn't going to level you up. 3/9
You see everyone sounds slightly different and has different ways of attaining their creative expression. If you had everything in the signal chain then yes, but most of the time demos for a guitar are done with lots of FX/post processing. You aren't really hearing how it'll be in YOUR setup. 2/9

The biggest lie in the music/audio industry (and likely most creative industries) is that a product will make you sound (or just) like xyz famous person. No it won't. it's just great marketing. Even if it isn't straight out told if you see a demo. it's part of it. 1/9

I'm planning on doing some streaming and music creation between NYE and Jan 4th as I have off from all work.

100%! All about diversity! Currently got two stocks one in finance and one in energy. Stable slowly go up and both dividend stocks. Hoping to add more there soon, but my current (new) job has some great benefits so putting my excess income there.
Yeah, I wouldn’t invest in nvidia now. All of my money in the market right now is just nvidia profits. I’m fine with that 😂. Where I redirected them to is more stable than nvidia has been too so I’m happy about that.

See you are rare these days. Most people I know who do crypto want a quick buck or trade within a year or two. I started investing in 2021 and have a stock I never sold since. I don’t have a lot in it but something is better than nothing.
