I often make Jamie Oliver's fish and fennel pie. It's a good one
funny, the same as the first commenter - fish pie or risotto. Sometimes lasagne. But risotto means you can't talk to the guests for about half an hour. Any kind of roast chicken is majorly comforting (unless veggie guests of course)
