Now Labour has legitimized the proscription of non-terrorist organisations that embarrass it you have to wonder what fun future Governments will have with the practice.

A very good thread. Note, it remains possible that the Courts will refuse to allow Yvette Cooper to proscribe Palestine Action. The High Court on Friday held that there was, in effect, a serious question to be asked about the lawfulness of her decision.

To people on this platform saying that those holding "I support Palestine Action" signs deserve to be arrested, because PA has been designated a terrorist group by the government:

Remember that lickspittles and system justifiers have enabled every form of oppression, everywhere.

It’s incredible to see Khalil home. A few months ago we could have been on the verge of much worse. I mean I wondered if donating to Gaza relief would be called material support for terror. Now these cowards and kidnappers are losing in real ways. I love it

While missile strike sites in Tel Aviv, Rishon ReZion and Bat Yam have been flooded with rescue workers, home front troops, police and volunteers, most of the clear-up in Tamra was done by neighbours and a handful of municipal workers.

Taking a water break on a shaded terrace, Azmeh Kiwan and his elder brother Bassam, who live directly across from the Khatib house, made clear in an interview they identified themselves as Israeli Arabs. Tamra is an ancient Arab village, they pointed out.

“I am from here. I belong to this place and I will die here,” Azmeh said. The brothers also declared themselves fully behind the war against Iran, a country they described as wellhead of terrorism.

It was only afterwards, when the tape recorder was off, that another neighbour came forward to vent his anger, which he claimed was shared by all of Tamra, at a video that had circulated since last night.

It was filmed from a nearby Jewish town, and showed missiles and Israeli interceptors streaking across the black sky, but when a missile falls short and slams into Tamra, you can hear people around the camera rejoicing.

“To the village! To the village!” one man cries, and then several women’s voices join in, someone starts clapping and together they sing a verse that has become a Jewish extremist anthem. It consists of one line: “May your village burn” sung over and over again.

“Please write about this,” the neighbour said. “If I say anything I will have 20 police cars at my house.”

Let’s be clear: Israel, an occupier, has no authority under international law to board or divert the Madleen.

This is a hijacking, plain and simple. A hijacking of a UK-registered ship, with multiple *European* citizens on board.

Does the EU or UK government have anything to say? Anything??

Keir Starmer and David Lammy must speak and condemn this interception.

All humanitarian aid must be able to reach people desperately in need. The UK govt have been active participants in the genocide.

The eyes of the world must be on Gaza. Release the Madleen crew.

Israel is accused of the gravest war crimes in Gaza Distinguished lawyers, senior humanitarians and diplomats tell Jeremy Bowen why they are increasingly concerned about the catastrophe inside Gaza

Jeremy Bowen's long, measured, objective, but ultimately entirely clear and conclusive essay on Israeli war crimes. As Jonathan Sumption puts it:

"These things make genocide the most plausible explanation for what is now happening."

The lives lost in Gaza: A closer look at those killed in the conflict so far The death toll from the war already dwarfs the numbers killed in previous bouts of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza over many decades.

“Reuters examined the data from the Gaza Health Ministry to look more closely at those who have died.

It found that more than one-fifth of those killed in the territory were children under the age of 12. More than 1,200 families were completely wiped out”

Israel is deliberately starving over 2 million people. Half of them are children. And the UK govt is helping them while they do it.

israelis are more into wholesale genocide now than they were in october 2023

because it's not about momentary panic or revenge, it's just endlessly stewing in hate and convincing yourself to embrace brazen crimes against humanity tomorrow to cover the crimes your country already committed yesterday

Israeli attacks kill at least 16 people in Gaza as aid agencies warn of famine Latest wave of bombings brings number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces to nearly 70 in less than 48 hours

Israel is using starvation as a weapon - not just genocide and mass murder of civilians, but torture.

It is evil beyond belief, and it is evil that the world isn't rising collectively to stop this country.
