Amazing! Just amazing!

NGL, I'm going to miss having a Live Stream of Spacefaring nature to have on. The next few hours are all that's left of Artemis II and once Integrity splashes down its gonna be another year before we get more Real Space Adventure :-(
Thank you, @hankgreen.bsky.social , for this presentation.
It is far better than just looking at downloads of the static images. With the additional explanations and some presentation effects it really boosts the emotional impact of the mission and its events!

People STILL not believing we have been to the Moon and back, now because AI imagery is a thing.
I just can't.
Listening to chatter between the returning Integrity Crew and the ISS Crew. Emotions.
Yo, right now . . . Wow!

Even though I was alive for Apollo 17, I would not have been old enough to comprehended any kind of live footage from the command module, even if it were available.
That makes this all the more amazing, only 53+ years later . . .

And has been doing it long before the A.I. conversation came this far.
Is it A.I.? Just because it's Online and Automated? It takes Commands, not Prompts, so my gut reaction is 'no'. But if no one looks deeper at it they might decide that just because its an online tool it is not to be trusted
That said, I do not know how much A.I. is used in Avrae; I suspect very little. Most all of Avraes functions link back to DDB Databases in what are probably advanced query functions.
All I do know is Avrae is been around for quite awhile and already does what much of the "Rules Assistant" promises
This feels like we are missing a big piece of the conversation. Bots & D&D are not a new thing and the "Rules Assistant" being discussed (imo) is likely related.

@bobworldbuilder.bsky.social My comments on this video the existence of regarding the Avrae Discord bot are suspiciously non-existent.

Holy carp, what a deal! For all your X-Files meets MacGyver on Wheels, Olympic Forest Drive vibin', grab this now!
I was a bit late listening to the episode of “Once We Were Spacemen” where you heard the recording of the live announcement Nathan and crew gave at a recent Con. Contained in that announcement was the call to action posted above. If you are a Firefly fan, please engage. Every click helps.
2nd: maybe due to my 1st opinion, the only value I got out of the ScreenX screening was that I got the seating I wanted. The extra real estate the wider projection occupies did not do anything to enhance the presentation for me. But to reiterate, I didn’t have to view from an uncomfortable angle.
Two things: re: Project Hail Mary, while on par with other Andy Weir stories, I could probably have waited for VOD. It’s interesting and adequately emotional, but is only going to win technical awards.
Page refresh still has yesterday’s poll for me too
Hopefully I did not choose poorly.
Decided to go see Project: Hail Mary later today and noticed in the seat selection portion of my app that my preferred seat is already sold out on all the IMAX showings. So I decided I'm going to try ScreenX for the 1st time. Not usually my MO to try out an experience on a 1st time viewing.
Pshh. Obviously missing an Oscillation Overthruster and a Flux Capacitor 😏 Rookie mistake

And the Wyatt/Kurt Russell casting as Young and Old Lee Shaw is actually kinda fun, imo.
TIL: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 1 is available on Amazon Prime. Previously an AppleTV exclusive (of which Season 2 currently is), if you enjoy the Monsterverse Godzilla/Kong Movies, this show is essential viewing.

ICYMI: I should not have had to scroll so many times to NOT see this headline shared anywhere in my feed
