All right, I’m like 2 hours past lunch. I should probably get that sorted

Unrelated, but I love the devil tail made of the paper airplane and wisp trailing behind it
A panel from Junji Ito’s The Enigma of Amigara Fault. A man in his underwear is climbing into a humanoid shaped hole in the side of a cliff. The man says, "It was made for me! Th- This is my hole!"
@paul.kinlan.me Where are we on Intent-like capabilities on the web these days?
Context: I’ve had a couple conversations recently related to having extensions communicate their ability to do something useful to a website. WebIntents and WebMCP have come up as potentially related
Hello London! 👋🇬🇧
It felt like for the first few year or two after ChatGPT hit the scene we basically only heard about how the leaders were trying to create a machine god. Now that that vision seems impractical, the goal seems to be "help me not pay people" or it's more charitable sibling "help me do more with less"
This is why we can't have nice things
I spoke with a new pharmacist about ADHD meds and they said I'll need:
- insurance approval
- chart notes from an in-person doctor visit every 60 days
IDK if this is a post-COVID shortage thing or what, but I've never had to provide charts before. Maybe that's 'cause I had work-provides insurance?
Health insurance update: I'm starting to get worried about running out of maintenance meds
I'm hopeful that I'll be able to use community health resources to get antidepressants (Schedule IV), but I think i may be screwed on ADHD meds (Schedule II)
Similar concept from my motorcycle training: look through the curve. If you look at a point of a curve you're taking, you'll hit it. You have to look past it to where you want to go
I AM HOLDING A LOVELY TRANS FLAG AND DECLARING THUS: HOORAY FOR MY NICE TRANS FRIENDS!!
This looks so good I'm mad at @kevinpowell.co about it. How are the rest of us meant to compete? Can't you give us a break?
If you want to understand/enjoy CSS, I bet this course will get you there.
two falsehoods people believe about age verification:
1) Age verification verifies age
2) Age verification ONLY verifies age
Unfortunately I know, but I'm not able to get a marketplace plan because I missed the window for qualifying life events. If I could sign up for one of them I'd do so immediately 🫠
I just spent the past 3 hours trying to figure out if my non-marketplace health insurance:
1. Allows me see my current doctor (no)
2. Is accepted at my pharmacy (no)
3. Covers my meds (yes/no, may have to switch to something adjacent for meds not covered)
4. Makes meds affordable (needs more info)
On one hand, I don't wanna. On the other, I'd be able to get health insurance which in turn allows me to see doctors and get maintenance medications that I've been on for decades
After my contract with Mozilla ended in December, I've been trying to run a solo consultancy. There have been plenty of challenges, but more than anything else the health insurance situation has been making me seriously weigh whether I should get another corporate job
One of the rare cases of me using a terminal period. I posted this through micro.blog's web UI, so my brain was in blog post mode
I’ve recently been rediscovering an appreciation for the act of writing. I’m not sure how best to articulate it, but the process of feeling something that I’m not sure how to convey and progressively solidifying it as I scratch it out on a page with pen and ink is both gratifying and elucidatory.
I don’t have enough wall art that needs framing to have a dedicated budget, but props if you do
The inability to differentiate between priorities is one of the things I struggle most to explain to non-ADHDers 😮💨
I have no context here, but...

Hello Seattle!
Why do so many people want to escape their rooms so badly?
If you don't like your home that much, maybe you should try a little thing called nesting
And butts
Working on a clay figure sculpture has made me realize that I don't understand hips
I'm not terribly good at Trig, so this was a bit of an adventure to work through. Luckily the library was structured such that it was pretty easy to find where the bug was happening, but it took much longer to untangle why and how to fix it
