The more theatrical a band is, the more acceptable it is to have corny and/or overwrought lyrics.

Music playing and music creations are two vastly different skills, the latter of which I'm struggling to get a grips on and understand, but I will put out absolute drek before resorting to using an AI prompt to compensate for a lack of skill issue.
It's like a criticism only exists for a specific song just for the sake of complaining about the song to justify a dislike or perceived "wrong" when the same "offense" for highly regarded artists would be what sets them apart and not being "cookie cutter."
Seen commentators hate on songs where the chorus starts high and goes low, criticizing it for not "building a crescendo like it should."
Yet I struggle to hear the problem they are talking about, and know many songs where the chorus ends in the same range or lower than where it started.

I'm so mentally drained today. I had a small burst of energy earlier to do an errand, but between being homeless, world events, caffeine crashing, relentlessly working on music, and knowing I'm a burden to the friends I'm staying with... I just have no energy to function today.

One of the more frustrating aspects I have working with MIDI is the general assumption that because someone is looking for VST's for instruments, they should just learn how to play the instrument instead.

I watched that movie once and it crushed me but it aimed to do exactly what it set out to do, and I can't fault it for that.
