For those who are interested in using CSFmax in their research, the bespoke medium will be available at cancertools.org/cell-culture...
In this work we describe the development of new cell culture medium (CSFmax) that recapitulates the unique metabolite composition of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
We also reveal that autophagy in critical for metabolic adaptation and survival of CNS-resident ALL cells.
Delighted to share our manuscript "Physiological cerebrospinal fluid like medium reveals autophagy dependency of leukaemia in the central nervous system"

Happy holidays from the Helgason Lab. Wishing everyone has a wonderful festive break 🎄🎅🤶
Research is never a solo effort.
It takes teamwork. It takes belief. It takes collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and communities.
We know what it takes to beat blood cancer.
