I definitely don't want us to buy "big names" unless they're 100% committed to the fight (like Grealish). I'd much prefer great prospects who just need a bit of coaching, and who don't upset the great team ethos we've got going on.

However average Delap has seemed this season, he's got to be considered in context with where he is and how he's being handled. Ideally, we get him, Kayode from Brentford, Greaves and Clark from Ipswich, maybe a speedy winger, too.
I think Delap can be coached. He's a Moyes type. Lots of heart. He's lost at Chelsea.
Based on this weekend, it's becoming a probability!!
Both Barry and George seemed totally overawed by the occasion today. Rabbits in the headlights. Not sure either will be a longer term starter. TG will go back to Chelsea, I think. #EFC #EVERTON
Just a thought, but blocking off a centre forward's run is always a foul. So why is it ok for teams to block off a goalkeeper's ability to come out for a corner?
Syrup of figs will sort you out.
They gave a penalty against Everton for EXACTLY the same thing Gabriel's just done. Ffs.
Peter fkn Drury, waffling on like a prick who thinks he's Dylan fkn Thomas or something when really he's enormously fkn dull, matched only in his dullness by the droning monotone of Gary fkn Neville, whose insight is about as sharp as a Swindon roundabout. Ffs. #mciars
We lack a decent striker, but that's not news. Other than that we've done ok. Patience needed.
Commentator blithely suggesting it's "to not make it difficult for himself too early" and thus allowing them to get away with everything 1st half. Ffs.
I think him for Dwight? He'll probably give it 10/15 mins though, rather than a HT swap.
They had more possession last 10. But I think we're playing really well. Got to keep the ambition and the belief!
Beto off?
We need a bit of luck!!
I read an article today about how people are moving away from high tech towards analog "comforts." Look at vinyl sales e.g. I think football is the same. We don't want actually a high tech,VAR, angles, replays, pundits sport. We want a Saturday 3pm, heartfelt, passionate comfort blanket.
But you FELT it. It wasn't to do with a lifestyle choice, or how successful we were (or weren't). It's illogical and entirely emotional. The RS (& other Sly 6 tbf) attract fans like ikea customers choose a sofa. It's those types i detest.
It was genuinely true that we'd go to derbies together, drink together beforehand, often sit next to, and then drink afterwards too. I think a combo of the Euro ban after Heysel & the birth of the Prem completely changed all of that.
Spurs were definitely more energetic and creative, but their 2nd goal summed up why I think they're in deeeeep trouble. Rather than an opportunity to reassert unity, the celebration was all ego and arrogance, despite 20 minutes left on the clock. They just haven't realised the peril they're in.
I don't care what anyone says, and I welcome anyone to the Blue club, but you need to FEEL it. You can't choose it. And it's difficult to feel it deeply enough if youre not local or have deep family connections.
I left Liverpool 30 years ago & was far less nervous back then or as bothered if we lost. Scousers who support the RS may be deluded, but at least they were local. It's the tourist-fan pricks in Bristol giving me grief that really wind me up. I may spend 2 hours in the garden tomorrow!!
If there's 1 thing for certain this season, traditional "favourites" are no longer as nailed on. Look at Bournemouth today! WHU at least have some togetherness and belief, as do Forest. Nothing positive for Spurs atm. I think it'll be a last day decider whatever happens.
Everton may be open to financial inducements. ๐
If they'd have won today, it would at least have shown that they're capable of winning. When you've gone 15 without a win, getting a result again my lad's u14s would be a challenge for Spurs. They're favourite to go down IMHO.
He should have gone straight back to the centre circle. You'd think the game was over by the way he celebrated. It was completely OTT.
Sounds like you need a drink!! ๐คฃ But you're 100% correct.
"I want a career in politics" is such utter shite. Being a representative of people should be driven by passion and compassion, not as a career choice for the aspiring middle class. But "the system" seems now so concrete, I don't see it changing any time soon.
I just get angry. There is SO MUCH WEALTH in the world that every fkn problem could be sorted and every one of those billionaires would still be so. But govs are TERRIFIED to tax them.
Didn't stop BBC presenting his opinion as gospel on last night's 6pm news. The "statistics" used by the beeb were such bolox, too.
Maybe he had a picture of you hard at work in the abbatoir?
